problema com som

instalei o ubuntu 8.10 sem ser pela máquina virtual, tudo bem até agora

mas tenho um problema, não há som desde o primeiro instante

ja não sei o que fazer. alguem ajuda?

Eu já tive um problema semelhante com uma placa intel HDA e resolvi com a instalação dos módulos backports.

Tenta o seguinte:

fiz o seguinte:

o comando indicado nao funcionava
mas mesmo assim continua a nao trabalhar isto

Se o resultado for,

experimenta o seguinte:

Edita o ficheiro /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base e adiciona-lhe a seguinte linha:

options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1

Em seguida reinicia.
