ANARCHY REIGNS LONGER AND LARGER!
SEGA and PlatinumGames online multiplayer brawler ANARCHY REIGNS moves to July 2012.
LONDON AND SAN FRANCISCO - (December 15th, 2011) – SEGA® Europe Ltd. and SEGA® of America, Inc. today announce that upcoming third-person multiplayer brawler, ANARCHY REIGNS™, will now be available on 3 July 2012 in the US, 6 July 2012 in Europe and 5 July 2012 in Australia. The much anticipated next title from critically acclaimed developer PlatinumGames will be released on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system for all console bruisers.
“ANARCHY REIGNS brings a new take to the brawler genre and we’ve decided to take a little more time to deliver the full knockout punch. I can’t reveal much now, but it’s something to do with scale. Let’s just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past…” said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA West.
ANARCHY REIGNS will now be available in July 2012 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
Adiado para 6 de Julho.

Not sure about Anarchy Reigns even though it comes from Platinum Games, makers of such critical favorites as Vanquish and Bayonetta? You'll have a chance to convince yourself ahead of release, as Famitsu reports this week that a demo will hit next week.
Look for the Anarchy Reigns demo on the 31st. The demo will include a sampling of the story mode and two types of network play.
Famitsu's report on Anarchy Reigns this week also reveals that you'll be able to change the color and costume of the Bayonetta cameo character. Bayonetta will also have new moves that were left out of the main Bayonetta game.
Finally, we break the bad news about Anarchy Reigns US/EU release date – SEGA has decided to change the date to TBC. While our work on the game is finished, localized, and ready to go, as publisher, SEGA gets to make the final decision as to when it is released. The Japanese release date, however, remains unchanged for July 5, 2012.

Platinum Games' OTT brawler Anarchy Reigns launches in Europe and the US some time in the first quarter of 2013, publisher Sega has announced.
Following months of uncertainty over the fate of the game, Sega responded to a number of fan queries to its Twitter feed today, announcing:
"The release of Anarchy Reigns has been re-evaluated. We now expect to launch in Europe and America in Q1 of 2013."
Though the game is still due to come out in Japan next month, there was concern that the game was not going to cross the seas, after Sega pulled its Western release and decided not to show it E3.
Following a disappointing set of financials, Sega has been restructuring its Western business to focus on key IPs. Many commentators speculated that Anarchy Reigns might have been lost in the shuffle.
The games industry loves nostalgia, particularly when it involves something underappreciated in its own time. The Dreamcast's posthumous valorisation is like this. And so, criminally, is much of Clover Studio's finest work - and especially God Hand, the daddy of 3D brawlers, and a total sales flop. Anarchy Reigns already has this whiff about it, the smell of critical success, commercial failure and subsequent cult status. That's a damn shame, and much less than this deserves. But the only thing Platinum Games can control is the quality of its product. In Anarchy Reigns, as ever, it is exceptional.
