[PS3] Blur (Bizarre Creations)

Via French gaming magazine Joypad, it has been revealed that Bizarre Creations will be doing something a bit different for their next racing effort. That next game will be titled Blur.

Even though Blur contains your regular race to the finish-line gameplay, it will up the ante by allowing use of various weapons against opponents. The weapons will include the likes of mines and shields, which hints the game will be something like Wipeout - but on four wheels.

The game will also allow cars to get much more damaged than other racers on the market, with multiple crumple zones on all the cars that react differently to each collision. Races in the game will take place is various real life cities, including San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo and more.

A huge part of the game will be multiplayer focused, with stats getting tracked via unique identity cards for each player. The option to post challenges to other players will be available too, as will normal racing sessions.

The game is set to be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 by the end of 2009.

Activision’s delayed Bizarre’s Blur, pushing the shoot-and-racer into 2010.

“We are committed to making Blur a great new racing franchise, and we are very encouraged by the game’s design,” stated Mike Griffith, president and CEO of Activision Publishing.

“The additional time will allow the studio to fully optimise the vision they set out to create for Blur including a distinctive and groundbreaking multiplayer mode that will appeal to a broad audience.”

Tendo em conta que não é referido Q1 2010 como é habitual, não ficaria surpreso se o jogo for adiado para o Q4 2010, até porque o Split/Second vai sair na 1ªmetade do próximo ano.

Talvez seja para o melhor e a Bizarre Creations consiga dar um novo ar ao jogo, visto que dos jogos de carros no horizonte era claramente o que estava a receber uma pior recepção por parte da crítica.
 
Joguei a beta na X360 e posso dizer que vale a pena, mas não é jogo para dar mais de 20€. É o puro jogo de diversão. Só vale a pena para jogar em multiplayer, é mesmo muito divertido e é necessário usar tácticas para conseguir vencer uma corrida que diga-se de passagem é bastante complicado.

Sinceramente, agora não, porque ainda está caro, mas assim que baixar o preço é um jogo a comprar pois é extremamente divertido.
 
Eu gostei do single player, é viciante e temos mesmo que conhecer a pista e saber quando e aonde estão os power ups para consefguir ficar em 1 nos niveis mais avançados.

Para mim este jogo está a ser uma grande supresa, o online está muito bom, se bem que na semana passada apanhei alguns carros saltitoes, mas tambem na altura quase ninguem estava a jogar e possivelmente fiquei num lobby em que o host estava para aí no alaska.

Mas agora tudo ok, sem lag e encontra facilmente jogos.
