Street Fighter X Tekken Character Teasers and Cover Art

Capcom has today revealed the colourful cover art for Street Fighter X Tekken, as well as offering up another pair of character teaser videos, hinting at another two fighters joining the roster. The teasers are as annoying as always, so we'll save you the effort of trying to figure out who they are, by just telling you.

It's red beret sporting, stick-wielding Final Fight villain and Street Fighter Alpha stalwart Rolento and Tekken Iron Fist Tournament Zaibatsu overlord Heihachi Mishima. You didn't think they'd release the game without Heihachi, did you?

Check out the teasers below, and then ogle the lovely new box art at the bottom of the page. Awesome, yes? Street Fighter X Tekken will be bringing the ultimate tag battle to consoles in Q1 2012.

See Just How Rubbish We Are at Street Fighter X Tekken

During the first day of Gamescom 2011, while the showfloor was relatively quiet, we grabbed the camera and captured some off screen footage from a few of the games being exhibited, to give you a first-hand look at said games in action. The first game we checked out was Street Fighter X Tekken, and boy, were we bad at it.

Being in the middle of the bustling Gamescom showfloor, the sound quality is predictably bad in the gameplay video, with the sound of clicky-clacky joystick buttons and our stupid comments taking over. Still, the video should give you some idea of how Street Fighter X Tekken plays, but don't expect too much in the way of spectacular moves.

As our hands-on preview notes, without a standard controller, we're completely useless at fighting games, but we try our best. And although we're heard to remark "not the best demo" in the video, it's certainly not the worst either, and still well worth watching.

Meh, preferia um Arcade stick.

Um arcade stick decente, não é barato e como tal, isso só iria encarecer essa edição. Mas para além dessa edição especial, também há esta...

  • Street Fighter X Tekken Game
  • Special Edition art work
  • Prequel Comic book created by UDON Comics
  • Build-it-Yourself Arcade Bank (5"H): An easy to assemble model kit with decals that represents old-school arcade cabinets. Store your quarters (and more) for your next challenger.
  • 36 GEM Power-Ups: Includes the WORLD WARRIOR, IRON CURTAIN, LIGHTNING LEGS and Special Edition Exclusive KING OF IRON FIST GEM packs for a total of 36 to customize your playing style.

M. Bison and Ling Xiaoyu Outed for Street Fighter X Tekken

New characters have been inadvertently revealed for Street Fighter X Tekken. The crossover fighter, bringing together the work of Capcom and Namco, will feature the pugilistic talents of M. Bison and Ling Xiaoyu.

The news was revealed via the game's Xbox Live Marketplace page, which now holds a new screenshot showing the Shadaloo boss and the Chun-Li-ish Iron Fist-er, Xiaoyu. While some platform-exclusive characters have been announced for the game, there is no suggestion that the two characters will not also be available in the PS3 version.

Bison and Xiaoyu are not actually fighting in the screenshot, mind, but you can see their portraits just above the energy bar. I've posted the screen below. Squint enough and you can make it out.

The reveal brings the base line-up of SfxT fighters to 30.
