With Yakuza Kiwami launching in the west last year and Yakuza Kiwami 2 on the cards for August 2018 (both remakes of the first two games), could we eventually see remakes of Yakuza 3, 4 and 5? Apparently, this possibility hasn't been ruled out, according to series producer Daisuke Sato.
In an interview with PlayStation Access (embedded below), Sato-san notes that while SEGA is considering Yakuza Kiwami 3, 4 and 5, there would have to be enough demand for them to happen. Nothing official has been set in stone beyond Yakuza Kiwami 2, however, although we imagine sales of Yakuza 6 and Kiwami 2 will have a big influence on whether Kiwami 3, 4 and 5 get made. That, and requests from fans, says Sato.
"If we get a lot of requests to make them, we may consider it," he said, adding that he's "very happy" to see how well the Yakuza series has been received in the west. And with Kiryu's story at an end with Yakuza 6: The Song of Life (check out the review here), we're always down for some more, even if it's old Yakuza titles remade for PlayStation 4.
That said, the Yakuza studio also has its hands rather full at the moment, with Fist of the North Star title Hokuto ga Gotoku in the pipeline (which could possibly be heading west), Kiwami 2, and a new, yet to be officially announced IP also in the works. Yakuza 6 is out now and Yakuza Kiwami 2 launches in the west on 28th August.
@ShadowPeter, não há nenhuma novidade?
Nop.
Anyway
Fica aqui o trailer do Yakuza 4:
