Realme announces GT 6 with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, rapidly charging 5,500mAh battery

The Realme GT 6 is now official, marking the GT series return to global markets at an event in Milan, Italy. It's a feature-packed flagship killer and the first Realme GT phone to sell globally in more than year.

The phone is built around what the Realme calls Hyper Display. It's a 6.78-inch 1264x2780px AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and a bonkers 6,000 nits of peak brightness, which the company says is the brightest on a phone yet. There's a sheet of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top of it for protection.

Ticking inside is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 that's all the rage these days, coupled with 12GB or 16GB of RAM. The GPU is an Adreno 715, enabling a solid gaming experience. There's also a healthy helping of AI as is the norm these days. Realme calls it NextAI and it can do AI Night Vision for video, AI Smart Removal to remove distractions in your photos and AI Smart Loop to suggest apps based on your screen's content and your actions.

The Realme GT 6 packs an ample 5,500mAh battery with rapid 120W charging. The company claims it can go from 1% to 50% in just 10 min and all the way to 100% in 26 min. The battery should also retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, which is over four years of daily charging.

The Realme GT 6 has a 26mm wide angle 50 MP camera with a 1/1.4" Sony-LYT808 sensor and f/1.7 lens, OIS and PDAF, and a 47mm f/2.0 telephoto unit with a 1/2.8" 50MP sensor. The third camera on the back is an 8MP 16mm f/2.2 ultrawide unit without AF.

The front has a 32MP 1/2.74" sensor with a wide 22mm f/2.5 lens and fixed focus.

Realme GT 6 runs Android 14 at launch and will receive 4 years of Android upgrades and security patches, going all the way to Android 18.

Realme GT 6T comes to Europe with a €550 price tag, but will cost only €400 for a limited time

Realme just announced its flagship killer, the GT 6. But the flagship killer better watch its own back – the Realme GT 6T, originally announced for India, is also coming to Europe and its price is going to turn heads.

The regular price for the GT 6T in an 8/256GB configuration is €550. The GT 6 (no T) is normally a bit pricier at €600 for an 8/256GB phone, though a limited time promotion drops that to €550. So do the Realme GT 6 and GT 6T cost the same?

No, Realme also has an introductory price for the T-phone – €400 for the 8/256GB model. Note that this price tag has an expiration date, the offer will be valid from June 21 to July 4.

And if that massive price cut wasn’t enough to convince you, Realme is bundling the 6T with a free 120W charger (valued at €30) and a free pair of the Realme Buds Air 6 (€70). This applies to the 8/256GB model.

There is another version of the Realme GT 6T, which is equipped with 12GB of RAM (and 256GB storage). This one will be available for Amazon Prime Day at €600.

As a quick recap, the Realme GT 6T is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset and a 5,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging (1-50% in 10 minutes). It has a high quality 6.78” LTPO display (10-bit colors, 1,264 x 2,780px) with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The camera system has a 50MP main (1/1.95”) and an 8MP ultra wide, plus a 32MP selfie.

The Realme GT 6 justifies its higher price tag with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and a better camera – the 50MP main has a larger sensor (1/1.4”) and there is a 47mm portrait camera with a 50MP sensor. The rest is more or less the same, save for the IP65 rating on the GT 6 (vs. none on the 6T).

The Realme Buds Air6 are priced at €70. They feature 12.4mm drivers and support high quality audio with LHDC. Active Noise Cancellation is available and with it on, the buds can last up to 6 hours (up to 40 hours with the extra charge from the case). The buds are rated IP55.

Additionally, Realme is bringing the Air6 Pro to Europe at a slightly higher €90 price. These feature dual drivers (11mm woofers and 6mm tweeters), plus support for high-bitrate LDAC audio and 3D spatial audio. Battery life for the Pro buds is a bit better too, 7.5 hours with ANC (and up to 40 hours with the case).

The Realme Air6 arrived in India at the same time as the GT 6T. Now the company is also introducing the Realme Air6 Pro at a price of ₹5,000 (this can drop down to ₹4,200 with a discount and a bank offer). The first sale is scheduled for June 27 and will be held on realme.com and Flipkart.
