Realme GT Neo2 arrives with Snapdragon 870 and improved cooling
Realme announced the GT Neo2 smartphone during an event in China. The specs of the new smartphone already leaked multiple times, but now we have a confirmation on the Snapdragon 870 chipset and the 5,000 mAh battery with super-fast charging.

The screen of the Realme GT Neo2 is a 6.6” AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, and there are many features packed in this Samsung panel. The maximum brightness advertised is 1,300 nits, while the refresh rate is 120 Hz, available to switch in the UI menu in four different steps. The touch sampling rate is also impressive - 600 Hz. There is a single punch hole in the left corner for the selfie camera.
Speaking about cameras, Realme did not emphasize much on the setup during the launch. The triple setup brings a 64 MP primary wide camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2 MP macro cam.

The performance is where the GT Neo2 is expected to excel. It comes with Snapdragon 870, the only chipset on the market right now that goes up to 3.2 GHz, thanks to its single Kryo 585 core. The SoC is coupled with 6/8/12 GB RAM and 128/256 GB UFS 3.1 storage.
This hardware is clearly not enough to withstand the immense pressure expected from a high-performance gaming smartphone. Hence, Realme brought an innovative cooling gel with actual diamond particles (their size is 40-50 μm). There are also an aerospace-grade graphene sheet and a massive 4,129 sq. mm vapor cooling chamber.
The whole ensemble is expected to lower temperatures by up to 18 degrees Celsius, and overall performance is up to 20% better than the original Realme GT Neo.

There are improvements on the software side as well. The GT Neo2 has Realme UI 2.0 with Android 11 as a base, but it also brings GT Mode 2.0, effectively a high-performance software mode that boosts the hardware to provide the ultimate gaming experience.
There is also a big 5,000 mAh battery to keep the lights on, and charging is 65W over the wire, which should top up the device from 0 to 100% in 36 minutes.
