Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G is finally here with SD888

Right on schedule, Samsung didn't wait long to announce something in 2022. The Galaxy S21 FE is here and it's just what we've been expecting.

Upfront the Galaxy S21 FE 5G has a 6.4-inch 2340x1080px AMOLED that runs at 120Hz with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

Processing is done by a Snapdragon 888, which comes with 5G capabilities.

There are four cameras on the Galaxy S21 FE 5G - a 32MP fixed-focus f/2.2 selfie shooter and a 0.5x-1x-3x combo on the rear. Those are a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, 12MP 1/1.76-inch f/1.8 main camera with OIS, and an 8MP f/2.4 stabilized 3x tele.

The Galaxy S21 FE 5G is loaded with shooting modes - Night mode takes up to 14 images to combine into a multi-frame single image, there's Multi-camera recording that can combine the front and rear wide cameras in a single video. AI face restoration uses deep learning to enhance textures in the eyebrows and lips. And Object Eraser works just like Magic Eraser on the Pixel 6 series, allowing you to get rid of straggle objects in your images.

The S21 FE 5G is slimmer (7.9mm vs 8.4mm) and lighter (177g vs 190g) than its predecessor and comes in what Samsung calls a Contour Cut Design. What that means is that the camera bump is nicely integrated into the back cover and it's all finished in matte, which should help with fingerprints.

Inside there's a 4,500mAh battery that Samsung promises can keep things running for up to two days.

Finally, arguably the most important bit - the Galaxy S21 FE 5G will go on sale on January 11, priced €749/£699 for the 8/128GB model. It's available in four colors - White, Graphite, Lavender, and this new Olive.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE first renders pop up online

Samsung is planning to launch a Galaxy S21 FE smartphone and its first renders have just appeared online. The leakster Steve H, better known as OnLeaks, has unveiled that the design of the Fan Edition smartphone will follow the Galaxy S21 style of a camera bump, but this time it will match the color of the rear panel instead of serving as an accent. Take a look:

According to OnLeaks, the phone will measure 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9mm (9.3mm at the camera bump), which makes it slightly bigger than the vanilla Galaxy S21. The frame will be metal, however, the back panel will be “frosted glasstic”, which is a fancy way to call plastic panels with glass-like looks.

The Galaxy S21 FE is said to feature a 6.4” flat panel, and we can easily assume it will be an AMOLED. There is a single punch hole in the center for the selfie camera. Speaking about cameras, the trio on the back appears to have three identical lenses, but we expect a downgrade from the 12MP main + 64MP tele + 12MP ultrawide combination of the Samsung Galaxy S21.

Não me vai parecer nada mau negócio.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G's leaked poster shows the phone in multiple colors

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G's renders that leaked last month showed us the smartphone in four colors. Now an official poster of the S21 FE 5G has surfaced, corroborating the color options and giving us a better look at the smartphone in those shades.

The Galaxy S21 FE 5G was spotted on Geekbench with Android 11, 6GB/8GB RAM, and Snapdragon 888 SoC, but we've heard rumors of Samsung opting for an Exynos chip in some markets.

The S21 FE 5G will pack a screen with a punch hole in the center, which is said to house a 32MP selfie unit. The display is rumored to measure 6.41" diagonally and will likely have FullHD+ resolution.

The smartphone will reportedly have 128GB and 256GB storage options and pack a 4,500 mAh battery, which, according to FCC, will support 45W charging. But it's unclear if the S21 FE 5G will come bundled with an adapter, and if it does, how fast it will go.

There's no word from Samsung about the Galaxy S21 FE 5G yet, but South Korean media reports the smartphone will launch in October.
