Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE gets official in Germany, starts at €649

The much-leaked and very rumored big mid-range Samsung tablet is now official in Germany, and it's not called Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite or anything like that, as previously hinted at.

Instead, the Korean company went with Galaxy Tab S7 FE, in a rather obvious bid to unify the naming schemes of its phones and tablets. So "FE" now stands for "great value for money", or "flagship killer", something like that. Well, not literally (it's still "fan edition"), but you get the point. This is basically a cut down version of the flagship Galaxy Tab S7+.

Cut down, but not literally, in size - the base model of the Galaxy Tab S7 FE has a 12.4-inch 2560x1600 LCD touchscreen with 60 Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 750G SoC at the helm, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, an 8 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front-facing camera, and a 10,090 battery with 45W charging (with a 45W charger sold separately it goes from 0 to 100% in "about 190 minutes").

There's an included S Pen too, and you get an app called Clip Studio Paint preinstalled and available for free in the first six months. The tablet supports Samsung DeX too. The Galaxy Tab S7 FE measures 284.8 x 185 x 6.3 mm and weighs 608g.

It's been listed in Germany in Samsung's own online store for €649 in the entry-level configuration mentioned above, but also with 5G support. We assume an identical variant without 5G would be around €50-100 cheaper whenever it decides to appear. There are also likely to be higher-end iterations coming soon, with more RAM and more storage.

As for colors, right now you can pick between black and silver. It's not available yet, but you can reserve one if you want to, by hitting the Source linked below.

Here's the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G

Welcome to your first look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G, courtesy of a leaked press image.

The tablet looks to be following in the footsteps of the Galaxy Tab S7 with slim, flat sides, thin bezels and a place to magnetically attach the S Pen to the rear.

The Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G will be powered by a Snapdragon 750G chipset and have a 12.4-inch IPS LCD. There will be a version with 4GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G could launch in June and in a variety of colors - Silver, Pink, Green and the Black seen above.

New leaked renders show the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G in pink

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite soon in three variants - Wi-Fi only (SM-T730), 4G (SM-T735), and 5G (SM-T736B/SM-T736N). Last month, leaked renders of the 5G model showed us the Tab S7 Lite in Black color. Now a few more images have surfaced, which show the tablet in a Pink shade along with an S-Pen stylus and Book Cover in a matching color.

The renders reveal the Book Cover will have two S-Pen holsters - one on the inside and the other carved near the dual camera unit. You can also notice the power key and volume rocker on the right-side frame of the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G, with the USB-C port and speaker located at the bottom. There's also a selfie camera on the right bezel.

The Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G won't come in Black and Pink colors only. One of the leaked pictures tells us the tablet will have a total of five color options.

While there's no word from Samsung about the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite yet, reliable tipster Roland Quandt claims there's "no such thing as a Galaxy Tab S7 Lite". The tablet will be actually called the Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite.

We don't know Samsung's rationale behind putting "+" and "Lite" in the same name, but considering the Korean conglomerate's past record of naming its devices, we aren't surprised.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE (previously known as S7 Lite) listed on the Google Play Console

The ‘Fan Edition’ label may get attached to a new product line at Samsung – the tablet that has been leaking under the name “Galaxy Tab S7 Lite” might actually be called the “Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE”. The name comes from a Google Play Console listing.

It will have the same 10,090 mAh battery (EB-BT975ABY) as the premium Tab S7+ with the same 44W fast charging. Like the S7+, the Fan Edition slate is expected to ship with only a 15W charger. The retail package should include an S Pen, however, which can magnetically snap onto the back of the tablet for easy carrying.

The main difference between the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and its fancier siblings will be the screen and chipset. The FE will feature a 12.4” LCD (2,560 x 1,600 px) rather than an AMOLED panel, there’s no word about the refresh rate yet.

And it will be powered by the Snapdragon 750G instead of an S865, the RAM will have a lower capacity too (the slate that was spotted at Geekbench had 4 GB, but we’ve heard rumors of a 6 GB model as well). The tablet will have a 5G version, a Wi-Fi only version and perhaps an LTE one as well to match the premium S7 tablets, though that last one is less certain.

Other features, which can be seen in the many leaked renders, include stereo speakers and a dual camera on the rear (8+5 MP).

The Galaxy Tab S7 FE announcement should be closing in, but there's no date set for it yet. As for price, it should be lower than the €700 Tab S7, but we don't know by how much.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 12.4" tablet unveiled with 5G, cheaper Galaxy Tab A7 Lite follows

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G is official (for real this time) and joining it is the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, which arrives in Wi-Fi and LTE flavors. The FE model gets 5G connectivity instead.

This one falls somewhere between the between the Tab S7+ (12.4” sAMOLED, 120 Hz) and the Tab S7 (11.0” LCD, 120 Hz). It has a 12.4” LCD with 2,560 x 1,600 px (16:10), though it runs at only 60 Hz. At least it comes with Android 11 with One UI 3.1 out of the box.

Speaking of the box, inside you’ll find an included S Pen, which you can use for note taking and drawing. One UI also supports DeX mode, so you can get a desktop-like experience – the Book Cover Keyboard may come in handy for this, but any Bluetooth keyboard and mouse will do too.

Anyway, the S7 FE is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 750G instead of the S865 chipset of the other two slates. The base configuration is 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage, there’s also a 6/128 GB model. Either way, you can expand the storage with up to 1 TB extra using the microSD slot.

The tablet has a 10,090 mAh battery, matching the S7+, and supports fast charging up to 45W. But you’ll need to supply your own charger, you only get a 15W adapter in the box. If you do get a 45W charger, 0-100% will take 90 minutes. Anyway, the battery can endure 12 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi or 4G (5G is presumably more power hungry).

The tablet has 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS (no NFC). The USB-C port is wired for 3.2 Gen 1 speeds. There’s no 3.5 mm headphone jack, but you can use the tablet’s AKG stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The tablet has an 8 MP camera on the back with autofocus and 4K/30 fps video recording. There’s no ultra wide cam on the back of this model. On the front is a 5 MP cam (fixed focus) that can track your face during a video call to make sure you’re always in the center.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G will be available in Europe from Samsung.com. Note that the version in Russia has only LTE connectivity enabled (but otherwise appears to be the same tablet).

Concordo.

Quais as diferenças?
