Samsung is readying a Galaxy Watch7 Ultra, leaked renders suggest

The Galaxy Watch7 series is about to debut alongside the Galaxy foldables at the annual Unpacked event in July but rumors surrounding the watches this year are somewhat scarce. That's why we are surprised to see a new addition to the Galaxy Watch family this year - the Watch7 Ultra.

A set of high-quality renders shows Samsung's new Watch7 Ultra from all sides, revealing some potential features. The device adopts a mixture of square-ish and circular design, meaning the body has a square shape with oval edges while the display and the rotating bezel remain circular.

Additionally, the renders show a third, round button flanked by the usual power and back buttons. We still don't know what the new button's function is, though.

The images also reveal a larger speaker grille, new sensor alignment on the back and more seamless integration of the watch band with the watch body.

The display's size remains unchanged, however, and it adopts the same 1.5-inch diagonal as the current Watch6 Classic and fits in the same 47mm standard as well.

Earlier reports point at upgraded SoC, longer battery life and blood sugar monitoring, but we are unsure whether these changes will apply to all Watch7 devices or we've been hearing rumors about the Ultra variant all along. Either way, it seems Samsung is gearing up to challenge Apple's Watch Ultra 2 and we can't wait to see what the fuss is all about.

Para as pré-reservas do Ultra têm de oferta uma bracelete e um carregador wireless. Para o Watch 7 apenas oferecem uma bracelete de tecido.

Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra spec sheets leak alongside pricing details

Starting with the Galaxy Watch 7, this new leak confirms the smartwatch will be available in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm. It has an Armor Aluminum case, a Sapphire Glass screen protector, an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, and a MIL-STD-810 H construction.

The Galaxy Watch 7 has a 1.3-inch (432 x 432) or 1.5-inch (480 x 480) Super AMOLED display and a 400mAh or 425mAh battery. It features a brand-new Exynos W1000 3nm chip, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage.

According to this new leak (via Dealabs), the Galaxy Watch 7 will have the following prices in most European countries:
  • €319 — 40mm Bluetooth / Wi-Fi Galaxy Watch 7
  • €369 — 40mm 4G Galaxy Watch 7
  • €349 — 44mm Bluetooth / Wi-Fi Galaxy Watch 7
  • € 399 — 44mm 4G Galaxy Watch

Like the base model, the Galaxy Watch Ultra uses the new Exynos W1000 chip, which should be more power efficient thanks to its upgrade to a 3nm architecture. The watch also has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It also boasts the same connectivity features like the Watch 7 and IP68 + MIL-STD-810 H ratings.
Unlike the Watch 7, which is made from Armor Aluminum, the Ultra model has a titanium case, which accommodates a bigger 590mAh battery. The Ultra sports a 1.5-inch 480 x 480 Super AMOLED display, and it's about twice as heavy as the Galaxy Watch 7, weighing a little over 60 grams.

In terms of European pricing, the Galaxy Watch Ultra with 4G connectivity will supposedly hit the market for €699.
If true, it will be Samsung's most expensive smartwatch to date.

Other specs worth noting for both the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra include Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, One UI Watch 6.0, an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, a geomagnetic sensor, and a BioActive sensor, which may have been upgraded for health and fitness tracking. The new smartwatches should also use AI, though it remains to be seen to what extent.

Samsung will announce the new Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra on July 10 at Unpacked in France.

The smartwatches will be joined on stage by the Galaxy Ring — Samsung's first smart ring — and two new foldable phones.
The company is also expected to reveal two new pairs of wireless earbuds called Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.

700€ ainda é dose :(

Acho que vou ter de adiar para o ano a não ser que apareça algum pack com desconto...
