scanner em ubuntu

Boas.

Tenho um scanner HP 4470c e gostaria de o colocar a funcionar em ubuntu...
Na lista de compatibilidades entre ubuntu e scanner's, não consta este modelo...
Já tentei wine - é incompatível com o cd.

Alguma sugestão?

O problema é que nesse "tutorial" diz para:
HP 4400C, HP 4470C - uncomment the hp_rts88xx line.

O problema é que o meu ficheiro dll.conf não tem essa linha para ser descomentada... Suponho que não posso à campeão chegar lá e escrever 'hp_rts88xx', ou posso?

Mas, depois no site, para a arquitectura amd64:

Ou seja, aqui o problema deve ser eu ter o ubuntu 64 bits... :confused:

Vou experimentar este.

Não deveria ser apenas correr o comando:

Já reiniciei, já desliguei e voltei a ligar o scanner e nada...

O wget é para fazerem download de coisas de determinado site.
Verifica se tens nos repositórios o "Universe".
Instala o libsane-extras como eles dizem.
Depois verifica o que está no dll.conf.
Ela deve já lá ter o hp_rts88xx.
Não vejo onde possa haver espiga.
