The Surge 2 Announced and Will Release in 2019

Focus Home Interactive and Deck13 have announced that The Surge 2 is moving forward with development with a release date planned for 2019.

The Surge 2 will keep the hardcore combat utilizing a unique, dynamic limb targeting system and deep character progression but the dev also plan to expand on the formula. It will take place in a brand new environment which will be a sprawling, devastated city with larger and more ambitious level design, made possible by Deck13’s upgraded and improved engine.

As for the combat, it will be more brutal and tactical than the first, with even more options due to an expanded limb targeting system. In addition, more abilities, weapons, implants, and drones give players a vast arsenal to build their character with and there will also be some diverse new enemies and bosses for the players to take on.

This is all that's been revealed for now in regards to The Surge 2 but more will be unveiled at Le What’s Next de Focus which will take place on 7th to 8th February in Paris.
