Drivers AMD (ATI) - Discussão Geral

Onde é que viste isso? Eu tenho aqui ainda as drivers que saquei na primeira hora do lançamento e fui agora sacar as que estão disponiveis no site da AMD e são exatamente da mesma data, e têm exatamente o mesmo tamanho (486 548 088 bytes).
 
Pessoal, acabei por perder alguma performance em jogos como Need For Speed e Deadpool com os novos drivers. Tenho pesquisado sobre o assunto, e como em tudo, há sempre uns a dizer maravilhas e outros a queixarem-se por tudo e por nada. Acontece que, no meu caso, perdi performance nestes dois jogos nomeadamente quando uso o ReLive para gravar (coisa que faço com regularidade uma vez que tenho um pequeno canal no Youtube com o qual me entretenho). Não sei ao certo se há algo a fazer ou se, no mínimo, há forma de "testar" a coisa.
Os problemas só acontecem efectivamente quando estou a gravar. A imagem fica com uns freezes mínimos que, em termos leigos, eu diria que é idêntico a uma quebra de framerate. No Steam e Origin os fps aparecem com valores normais (~50 para o NFS e ~60 constantes para o Deadpool). O que posso explicar de sintomas é o seguinte: aquele submenu que temos quando clicamos no Alt-Z, aquando da gravação, fica a "piscar". Não sei explicar melhor que isto... Quando vou ver a gravação, há de facto um framerate estranho.
Eu não sei se posso, mas se puder deixo-vos depois um vídeo de teste, sem qualquer tipo de edição, para verem como fica o ficheiro na realidade.

Enquanto isso, fico à espera da resposta de quem mais sabe.
 
As 17.7.2 são bonitas no papel. Na pratica estão a dar varios problemas, principalmente a nivel de "micro freezes / stuttering", ainda que a AMD pareça ignorar :P
 
É possivel que agora existe mais ênfase a tentar implementar as features e agora o suporte para as vega.
Depois decerto que se mantém com a mesma branch durante um bom tempo e vão fazendo bugfixes como é costume.

  • Secondary displays may show corruption or green screen when the display/system enters sleep or hibernate with content playing.
  • Unable to create Eyefinity configurations through the Eyefinity Advanced Setup option.
  • The "Reset" option in Radeon Settings Gaming tab may enable the "HBCC Memory Segment" feature instead of setting it to the default disabled state.
  • After resuming from sleep and playing back video content the system may become unresponsive on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.
  • Bezel compensation in mixed mode Eyefinity cannot be applied.
 
O problema de mouse stuttering que surgiu com as drivers 17.7.2 continua presente nestas.

No reddit oficial a AMD já respondeu a dizer que já estão a preparar fix para isso para as proximas releases ;)
 
@Diog01 O problema será quanto tempo mais irão demorar!
Eu não estou a ser afetado pelo bug, como na maior parte talvez por milagre nunca me calhou grandes bugs.
Mas.. para o pessoal afetado isto deve ser do mais irritante que existe.
 
Eu notei pois estava a fazer umas mudanças e testes com o meu sistema, e ao abrir o OCCT estava a ter grandes micro freezes no rato. Inicialmente pensei que fosse de alguma das mudanças que eu andava a fazer mas afinal descobri que era das drivers. Tambem acontece se tiveres o HWInfo64 ligado, o wattman, etc...

Basicamente é causado pelo pooling de dados dos sensores da grafica.

Eu por enquanto fico na 17.7.1.
 
Eu até ver estou com as 17.7.2, tive stresses com o Radeon Relive me que causava Audio desync em videos longos.
Ando a enfiar playthroughs no youtube, só por que sim, e então fui apanhado de calças na mão quando me deparei com o som todo desincronizado com os videos.
Andei de volta do DDU e reinstalei e ficou bom, mas agora até acabar de gravar tudo, não faço update para as 17.8.1.
Também sejamos sinceros estas drivers não trazem nem problemas nem vantagens para as GCN 1.0, por isso não fosse eu também fazer benchmarking igualmente para o youtube em que me sinto obrigado a usar sempre as ultimas drivers, só mudava de drivers a cada WHQL Release. XD
 
Pois, mas teoricamente as 17.7.2 trouxeram algumas melhorias de performance em uma grande quantidade de jogos (pelo menos segundo a AMD), portanto até gostava de as tar a usar.

Finalmente já reconhecem o problema:


  • Mouse stuttering may be observed on some Radeon RX graphics products when Radeon WattMan is open and running in the background or other third party GPU information polling apps are running in the background.
 
Esta ultima drive nao funciona nada bem com a minha fury x o clock fica "preso" nos 300MHz. E nada que eu faça altere isto lol.
Estas ultimas drives para a fury x nao tenho tido sorte nenhuma.

Voltei para a anterior 17.6.2. E esta tudo oki.
