Ubisoft, the world’s 2nd biggest game publisher, is holding talks for a purchase - for either a buyout or merger. Reuters quoted Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot saying, “If someone comes with a very good offer, that will be very interesting... I'm going to consider it.” EA has already secures nearly 20% of their stock. Guillemot reiterated his stance that the move was hostile; "That tactical 20 percent does not help. It's a very bad start. It would be wrong to go with the first guy who wants to buy the company." In a recent interview, EA’s head of marketing for North America did not comment on the situation. The French giant is mostly known for their great Tom Clancy titles, including Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell. They are also reknowned for their Prince of Persia games.
