Have you always thought of keeping your mainboard but just update it with the CPU. What happens if the processor can't fit or you intend to change from AMD to INTEL or vice versa ? You will need to change your mainboard.
Based on the CPU ugprade socket concept, a China company Gozilla! has invented a PCIe x4 card that can take over the function of the processor on board.
The good thing is that the board comes with either a Intel North bridge and can be paired up with any south bridge on the original mainboard.
It is so amazing that you can still use your on board ram as all CPU connections will be re-channeled to your add on CPU card (fits either ConRoe or AM2).
This product will be available in China from 2Q and will be showcased at Computex Taipei 2007
