A primeira "grande" novidade da Nintendo Media Summit que se realiza hoje e amanhã nos EUA foi o Mario Super Sluggers.

Nintendo Hits a Home Run With Mario Super Sluggers

The ongoing excitement over Nintendo’s groundbreaking Wii system gets a suprise springtime boost with the announcement of a new game. Kicking off its semiannual media summit in San Francisco near the company’s new sales and marketing offices in Redwood City, California, Nintendo of America today revealed plans for Mario Super Sluggers for Wii, giving baseball fans even more reason to root this season.
“Mario is truly a one-of-a-king character; clearly fans can’t get enough of him and his friends,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We’re giving Wii users brilliant new ways to enjoy him while expanding our series of active-play games.”
In the same spirit as other sports-themed Mario games on Wii like Mario Strikers Charged and Mario Kart Wii, Mario Super Sluggers blends richly interactive baseball action with eccentric characters and elements from across the popular Mario universe. Players can swing the wireless Wiimote just like a bat or wave it toward the plate to deliver a masterful pitch, enjoying the same intuitive, easy-to-learn controls that helped make Wii Sports a living room hit. With Mario and his unpredictable pals filling out the roster, imagination and active-play innovation are sure to dominate the diamond in this lively title, scheduled for release later this year.

Já se sabia do titulo há uns meses, mas tinha outro nome, está a ser feito pela Namco Bandai.

Bom... isto é o que o Strikers foi para a Europa... mas tal como o Football europeu para eles não é muito popular... o mesmo pode ser dito do Baseball para nós.

Poucos chegámos ao estatuto pro no jogo de baseball do Wii Sports por exemplo.
 
Mas será a "loucura" de basebol comparado com a "loucura" de futebol do Strikers?

É que se sim... pode ser interessante. Se bem que é dificil imaginar um jogo de basebol frenético...
 
Semelhante ao WiiSports? 8| Só se for por se abanar o Wiimote, não? (o que é natural...)

De resto... remoinhos, bolas de fogo... ui! Vamos lá ver que sai daqui...

Não me interpretem mal, sou um fã ávido dos Mario Sports, mas acho que o de Basebol para a GC não chegou cá ou chegou?

Um novo Mario Tenis é que era! Adoro o da GC, faltava-lhe era o modo de história como no GBA!

- built on a brand-new engine
- detailed story mode
- 9 stadiums (not clear if there are more to be unlocked)
- 4 players (2 vs. 2 / 1 vs. 2 or 1 vs. 3)
- offensive items (attack outfielders with bombs, ect.)
- day/night games
- team stunts in the outfield (Mario jumps on Luigi’s head to catch higher-flying hits)
- Wiimote swing for hits (based on timing/power)
- swing Wiimote to pitch, twist to throw a curve
- Every character has special pitching & batting abilities: Mario throws / hits a massive Fireball, Luigi uses the Tornado Ball, Yoshi has an Egg Rainbow move & Bowser Jr. sends splatters of paint everywhere which hide where the ball is.
- shake Wiimote to run faster, but not necessary
- Mario Stadium : Basic stadium with nothing added
- Wario Fare : (extra features not mentioned)
- Yoshi Park : A Yoshi Train drives through the out field. Hit the Baseball into Warp Pipes as well.
- Smooth Ground Stadium : Ground is slippery / Giant Mr. Freezies are in the out field.
- Chomp Desert : Giant Chain Chomps nip at players in the out field.

Sempre adorei os Mario Sports! Este deve vir pa cá!

Dúvido que seja igual ao baseball do wii sports, deve ser semelhante, mas tuned up.

É só a mim que "brand-new engine" soa bem?

Agora o que eu queria meeeeeeeeesmo era um de tenis! Para mim são os melhores e mais bem conseguidos de todos os franchises desportivos do Mario! É pena o da GC não ter modo de carreira. Espero que se vier um pa Wii incluam um!

Depois de ter visto o primeiro video até gostei, estava um pouco desconfiado mas parece-me bem encaminhado.

Seja como for, só pensarei em comprar se tiver online.
 
Axo que podiam era ter feito melhor com os gráficos, a não ser que seja da qualidade do video
