2K Sports announced today that the Wii will finally be seeing its first hockey title. NHL 2K9 is set to hit the Wii this fall and will be developed by Visual Concepts. This will be the first and only officially licensed NHL and NHLPA to hit the Wii. NHL 2K9 will give fans the opportunity to "play like the pros" using the Wiimote as a hockey stick.

“Nintendo is thrilled to have 2K Sports’ NHL 2K9 on the Wii platform this season,” said Steve Singer, VP of Licensing at Nintendo of America Inc. “This title has been highly anticipated by our Wii consumers who will now be able to use the Wii Remote to face-off, play hockey, and fire a slap shot in their living rooms.”

“It’s our goal this year to bring the fun back to hockey video games,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “NHL 2K9 for Wii includes the full feature set as available on other platforms, and added Wii Remote controls and other exciting features specific for the Wii console will allow dedicated fans the opportunity to fully enjoy and embrace NHL hockey in a brand new experience.”

Umm, hóquei no gelo na Wii? Parece promissor. Sou um fã desse tipo de jogos ( e do desporto em que são baseados) desde o NHL 96 da Mega Drive .

Tambem me lembro de jogar NHL na mega drive. Velhos tempos. As third party estao demorar a perceber que a Wii é rainha desta geraçao. Mais vale tarde que nunca.

Tens toda a razão, vale mesmo mais tarde que nunca. Espero que venha a suceder com a Wii o mesmo que com a DS, que demorou a ter o apoio das editoras, mas agora está imparável.

Por um lado a falta de third party beneficia os jogos da propria Nintendo que sao os jogos que estao nos tops. Dentro em breve a coisa ja vai estar mais repartida.

Epá, só pode , nem me passa outra coisa pela cabeça. Eu estou é desejoso de ver como será nas sequências de porrada eh eh - um sistema como o jogo de boxe do Wii Sports ficava a matar!

Ups, não li o texto . Também era realmente óbvio, não era ?

No Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/wii/sports/...vert&om_clk=newlyadded&tag=newlyadded;title;1) têm a capa para a Wii, no artigo sobre o jogo, mas nada mais de substancial.

Ainda não vi o trailer mas por o que contam deve ser muito interessante, principalmente jogar um jogo mais profissional com a jogabilidade do wii mote.
