Qual a grafica? em principio se foi adquirido antes do vista sair para o mercado, já tras drivers pre-definidas a funcionar, como aconteceu com a minha 6600, senão basta fazer update que ele automaticamente procura as drivers e instala.

Isto em principio, há sempre excepções á regra, mas so ha uma maneira de saberes se funciona......experimentando, o maximo que pode acontecer é teres problemas em jogos ou qualidade de imagem em videos ou DVD's porque se for para trabalhar, fica 5*
 
Olhem lá e internet? Eu tenho um router ntech e ainda não instalei o vista porque tenho medo que não haja drivers... alguém sabe se já há?

E relativamente a jogos... correm bem?

Vista causes more license confusion

Microsoft's license terms for the retail version of Vista, its latest operating system, have caused more confusion over what the user is allowed to do - this time regarding the number of processors. The terms of the agreement state that the OS can only be installed on a "single device," which is to be expected, however it continues to state that the software may only be used "on up to two processors on that device at one time." What this means for multi-core systems with more than two cores is unknown, but with gaming moving closer and closer to being dependent on more than one CPU, this may confuse gamers. The description of what a single processor means is a bit of a grey area because it could either be argued as an individual CPU unit or an individual core, so no doubt Microsoft will clear up the matter in the near future.

INTERESTING SNIPPETS from Microsoft's licence terms for retail software reveal that the software maker insist that users must assign their copy of the upcoming operating system to what Microsoft terms one "single device".

The device, the outfit helpfully explains, is a "physical hardware system".

A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate device, the fimr notes.

The terms state that the software may be used "on up to two processors on that device at one time."

This may of course will cause much stratching of heads with innocent users as they are persuaded to buy more multi-core and multi-processor systems in the future.

With chip makers happily cobbling together more and more processors to achieve more apparently parallel cores, the definition of what constitutes a single processor may need tightening up if we're to avoid volish copyright cops banging on too many doors.

Tb reparei nisso, e tb reparei que realmente detesto o novo painel de controle da nvidia.. Enfim, bem que deixavam o antigo continuar onde estava..

E espero bem que se a memoria da gráfica acabar ele nao pense em ir buscar memoria ao sistema.. Não sem o meu consentimento..

Blastarr sabes de alguma coisa acerca disto?

Não sei onde está a confusão entre processador e cores. Pode-se instalar essa versão do cegueta até 2 processadores, onde cada processador pode ter cores ilimitados. ponto final. arrumou o assunto :)

A verdade é que isso já acontece no teu sistema, no XP. Antigamente tinhamos o AGP Aperture, que podiamos definir na BIOS. Com o PCIe isto mudou, claro. É o próprio sistema que gere automaticamente a quantidade de memória que é usada. Não tenho conhecimento se podemos gerir isto manualmente, excepto que há certos jogos que o permitem, correndo-os com "switchs" especificos a seguir ao executável, mas não é bem a mesma coisa.

Isto não tem nada de mal. É que se for necessário mais memória para além daquela que a gráfica possui, de certeza que é preferivel que se use a RAM de sistema do que swap file no disco, naturalmente. A unica forma de sabermos que a RAM da gráfica não chega é mesmo pela performance que verificamos ser baixa para uma dada aplicação com aqueles settings, não há uma forma mais óbvia.

Microsoft has been forced to acknowledge that a substantial number of PCs running the new version of its Windows operating system will not be able to play high-quality DVDs.
The Vista system will be available to consumers at the end of the month. However, in an interview with The Times, one of its chief architects said that because of anti-piracy protection granted to the Hollywood studios, Vista would not play HD-DVD and Blu-ray Discs on certain PCs.

Microsoft got input from the US National Security Agency (NSA) for a document with tips on how to use the Windows Vista operating system in larger organisations.
The NSA Information Assurance Directorate reviewed the Windows Vista Security Guide and provided comments that were incorporated in the published version, according to Microsoft. The US Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology, Nist, had a similar role, the software behemoth said.

boas, nao sei s esta é a secçao indicada pa colocar este problema, mas s nao for digam......

é o seguinte eu instalei o xp numa partiçao d 1 disco IDE k está a master, e instalei o vista noutra partiçao d 1 disco sata, o k s segue é k depois d instalar o vista perco o boot do xp, ou seja arranca m logo para o vista. alguem sabe o k deva fazer??

nota: tb ja fiz o contrario, ou seja instalar primeiro o vista e depois o xp, mas perco sempre o boot.

s alguem souber o k fazer, k m responda.....ja tou a desesperar

também não sei se este é o tópico mais acertado,
mas só para avisar que o windows vista business DVD já está disponível para download no msdnaa para quem é aluno do IST, e neste fórum ainda há bastantes users.

Something tells us it's just an embossed signature print or something along those lines, but either way it's down to you and 19,999 others prepared to get their fanboy on with the latest, greatest version of Windows.
