World of Tanks publisher Wargaming made an appearance at today’s SCEJA PlayStation briefing (Asia session) to confirm the PS4 port that leaked overnight.

The PS4 version will be completely free to all PSN members. PS Plus members will receive some extra goodies – free premium account time and a special tank, for example.

Two exclusive maps have been created for the PS4 version. There’s no word yet on an English version, unfortunately; Wargaming said it will localise for Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean.

World of Tanks was announced for PS4 just a few days ago, and looks like users on Sony’s console are in for a visual treat, as Marketing Product Manager Max Chuvalov told DualShockers today at Tokyo Game Show.

Chuvalov confirmed that the PS4 version of the game will run at 1080p, 60 frames per second, but that’s not all.

He also mentioned that it’l be graphically “more sophisticated” than the PC version, because the PC version has a huge scale of different machines to support, and 60 to 70% of the community plays on low or mid-spec PCs.

When you have a community counting multiple millions of users each update to graphics, physics and dynamic effects, it affects lots of people in different ways making it more difficult to implement. For consoles, everyone has the same hardware, so it’s easier to implement weather conditions, high definition maps and tanks.

"A second, three-day open beta for World of Tanks will kick off on PlayStation 4 this weekend.

The World of Tanks open beta will end on January 10, and participants do not need a PS Plus account in order to play."
 
World of Tanks goes live on PS4 January 19

Having recently concluded the second beta on PlayStation 4, it looks like World of Tanks is finally ready for prime-time.

Publisher and developer Wargaming announced the full launch will take place January 19, and you won’t need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play it. World of Tanks also supports trophies and RemotePlay with PS Vita.

If you’re a PS Plus subscriber, however, you get access to the German Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. J-PS premium tank, with comes with its own garage slot and three extra Premium days. Finally, if you play the game before the end of January, you also get the American T1E6-PS tank, which won’t be available following this date.

Já alguém anda no vício deste jogo? O post esta muito calmo.

Eu ando a jogar uma horinha por dia e apesar de ser medíocre já consegui umas belas kills hehehe
 
mais alguem a jogar isto?
que estao a achar do jogo? ja perdi umas horas e a maior dificuldade que encontro é perceber de que forma tiro melhor partido do tanque que levo para a guerra porque alguns mapas sao gigantes e a estrategia conta muito neste jogo!!
nao considero um jogo pay to win mas sem duvida que investindo torna-se mais facil ter algum sucesso...

Boas, eu ando a jogar uma horita por dia sempre que posso e apesar de já ter alguns tanques a nível 5 sinto que ainda tenho muito a aprender.

Deixo aqui o que acredito ser importante para nos safarmos:
*Conhecer os mapas é fundamental;
*Ver os tanques que vão participar na batalha antes da mesma começar (se houver artilharia jogar sempre atras de uma parede por exemplo);
*Não jogar sempre da mesma maneira (apesar de por vezes resultar). Isto é, não uses um medio como usas um antitanque etc...;
*Não dispares á pressa, onde acertas é mais importante que a quantidade de tiros (qualidade acima de quantidade);
*Mantém te sempre a par do mapa (num segundo tens o flanco protegido e no segundo a seguir já estas a levar dano desse flanco);
***Reza, sim, reza para não teres uma equipa cheia de anormais. Deixo aqui um exemplo: estava a jogar com artilharia e perdemos o jogo em um minuto porque a equipa adversaria se juntou para conquistar a bandeira no meio do mapa e ninguém da minha equipa se aventurou a ir la perto sequer para no mínimo detectar... Frustrante no mínimo

Não me lembro de mais nada mas espero que tenha ajudado.
PS: sou um jogador medíocre ou ligeirente acima disso :P
