[*]Story/Description:
A massive explosion in an American City. Only a few people survive, one of whom is Nathan Spencer - the hero of the previous NES Bionic Commando. Unfortunately, immediatlly after his heroics ten years ago (the game is set 10 years after the events in the NES game), Nathan was wrongfully convicted of heinous crimes. His Bionic Arm was taken away. And he transformed from a pixelated white guy into a dreadlocked rebel seeking redemption.
Aside from a fairly impressive 3D environments, one of Bionic Commando's most impressive attributes is the ability to use Nathan Spencer's swinging The game's swinging mechanics are nicely implemented - the end result resembles Spider-Man's web swinging, but with more options.
Not only can the Bionic Commando swing throughout a completely wrecked city, but he can also: use his extendable arm to rip down parts of the city upon unsuspecting enemies; hurl debris at enemies in the distance; and grab enemies directly and toss them around. The Bionic Commando also has the ability to use weapons, although details on the firearms were withheld.
