Prey 2 screen shows return of Tommy

Although Prey 2 developer Human Head Studios has dropped the first game's protagonist in favour of new guy Killian Samuels, that doesn't mean old Tommy won't be showing his face.

Human Head has released a shot of the game that shows the long-haired Cherokee garage mechanic/soldier/spirit walker with his back to the camera.

It might not be much, but given how different Prey 2 is from the previous game it's nice to see the developer hasn't completely thrown out the series' history.

Bethesda and Human Head are showing off the scarifying shooter Prey 2 at Gamescom and were nice enough to give us some new screens.

Espero mesmo que não, mas é verdade que o jogo tem andado "desaparecido".

Se for verdade, é surpreendente, depois de anos e todo o dinheiro gasto nele... preferirem cancelar a ainda recuperar alguma coisa. Algo se terá passado.

É uma pena, mas provavelmente ia-se perder no meio do mercado dos FPS. Porque não tentar terminar o que está feito e lançar o jogo no XBLA ou a preço de CLASSIC?

Development of Prey 2 has not been cancelled but the game will not be released in 2012 as planned.

The delay is due to the fact that game development has not progressed satisfactorily this past year, and the game does not currently meet our quality standards. Prey 2 has shown great promise and we regret disappointing our fans. We have made a substantial investment in game development to deliver the experience fans want. We are determined only to release the AAA game that fans rightfully expect, and are unwilling to compromise our quality standards to meet a release schedule.
