SEGA has just given some big news on their blog regarding the upcoming Sonic CD re-release. From today, those who purchase a GameStop branded Android tablet will get Sonic CD as a pre-installed game way ahead of the game’s newly announced December release. Finally, SEGA has revealed that Sonic’s two-tailed friend Miles “Tails” Prower will be an unlockable playable character. Players will be able to take control of Tails and his flying ability on their second playthrough of the game.
SEGA also released 8 new screenshots of the game, which we have for you below.

XBOX Live Date Still Unconfirmed
An update on the Playstation product page for Sonic CD confirms a Wednesday release date at least on the PSN side of things. A report last week suggested the December 14th release date.
The game was not mentioned on the US Playstation blog’s list of new releases this week. Interestingly enough, it also wasn’t listed on the XBOX Live side of things, either. That still opens the door for a surprise release on XBOX Live the same day, though neither Sega nor Microsoft have confirmed anything.
Also not confirmed at this point is the game’s price. A recent poll we conducted indicated $10 would be the sweet spot.

Espero que saia a um preço bacano na PSN. É uma boa compra.
Falam mal deste jogo não percebo porquê. Pode não ser tão bom como o Sonic 2 ou o 3 mas não deixa de ser um excente jogo. A banda sonora tb a acho interessante. Já os "Sound Efects" prefiro os dos sonics mais antigos.
Pode estar um bocado longe de ser o melhor sonic...mas tá MUITO mais longe de ser um mau sonic.

Sega today announced the release dates for Sonic CD on multiple formats. The rerelease is set to see its worldwide Xbox Live Arcade and iOS release on Wednesday, along with a PlayStation Network release in Europe.
It will be available for 400 Points (XBLA), £3.59 (PSN) and £2.99 (iOS), a real bargain for a game rebuilt with widescreen HD support, both soundtracks, Tails as a playable character, and achievements.
