Xbox Xbox Game Pass Core - Xbox Live e Games with Gold

Farewell Live Gold / GWG !

Xbox Adds New a New Strike System to Help Give Bad Gamers the Boot
Sorry gamers, Xbox says you need to behave. Starting today, Xbox will be cracking down on its Community Standards by rolling out an eight-strike policy that should help curb abusive behavior while educating players about their own rap sheet.

A blog post from Xbox Player Services Corporate Vice President Dave McCarthy describes the details of the new system. Players that don’t abide by the platform’s Community Standards will receive a strike. A strike will remain on a user’s account for six months and will block access to certain Xbox social features like messaging, multiplayer, and party chat for a length of time dependent on the severity of the infraction. Today, every Xbox user will begin with zero strikes in this new system, and once a user reaches eight, they will be suspended from social features for a year.

“This revised system gives players a better understanding of enforcement severity and the cumulative effect of multiple enforcements,” McCarthy wrote in the post. “Enforcement transparency is about giving players clarity into how their behavior impacts their experience.”

The new system also lets users easily take a peek at their own disciplinary record. The enforcement history interface will show a player how many strikes they have as well as why they received those strikes. The menu will also have a handy link to the platform’s Community Standards so users can brush up to prevent repeat offenses. Different offenses carry different numbers of strikes—McCarthy likened this to driver’s license point programs. A graphic in the blog illustrates some examples: profanity is one strike, sexually inappropriate behavior is two strikes, and hate speech is three strikes. Players will also be able to appeal strikes.

The new system comes as Xbox continues to try to shake the stink of toxic gaming culture off its brand. The company’s executive vice president Phil Spencer previously said that Xbox is not a free-speech platform, but is one that is designed for games and entertainment. Spencer’s attitude and Xbox’s efforts at curbing bad player behavior are not without warrant—the Anti-Defamation League says that in 2021, 83% of the 80 million adult gamers surveyed claimed to have experienced harassment in online multiplayer games.

Microsoft is today offering a little clarity on why gamers will be banned from Xbox social features, for set periods of time.

So, once you hit two strikes you’re done for the day. Four strikes, you’re done for a whole week. If you hit the maximum of eight strikes, you’re locked out for an entire year. That’s no multiplayer, no party chat, no messaging and no other social features for 12 months you naughty, naughty Xbox owner.

However, it’s not just a case of all infractions being levied with a single strike. If you swear or cheat during a Forza Horizon 5 multiplayer session, for instance, you’ll get a strike. If you send a sexually inappropriate or bullying message, that’ll be two strikes. Straight up hate speech in Starfield and that’s three strikes.

Gamers will be able to view their enforcement history, so they’re able to keep tabs on how their next infraction might affect their ability to continue gaming. Strikes will be appealable and enforced strikes will remain on the record for six months.

Microsoft likens the new policy to how driving infractions are punished in countries like the UK, but expects most gamers to correct their ways after one suspension.

In a blog post, Microsoft said: “In 2022, fewer than 1% of all players received a temporary suspension, and only 1/3 of those received a second. Our data shows us that players typically stop inappropriate behavior after one enforcement, quickly learning what is and is not acceptable based on the Xbox Community Standards and how to better engage on our platform.

“The strike system is designed to further empower players to engage positively and appropriately on Xbox and with the community.”

No fundo, a ideia é boa.

Psychonauts 2
We plan to update the Game Pass Core library 2-3 times a year. If you’re interested in the full library that updates more frequently, check out other Game Pass memberships .

Another Two Titles Are Joining Xbox Game Pass Core This December

The service formerly known as Xbox Live GoldTwo More Games Are Joining Xbox Game Pass Core This December

Back in September, the historic Xbox Live Gold service was officially replaced with something called Xbox Game Pass Core, taking away the multiple "free" games per-month and replacing them with a library of Game Pass titles instead.

Xbox Game Pass Core began with a total of 36 titles that members could access at no extra charge, and it's now about to grow to 38!

The two new games that will be joining the lineup are Chivalry 2 and Totally Reliable Delivery Service.

Before we take a closer look at each of these, keep in mind that they're already available if you're an Xbox Game Pass for console, PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate member. It's just the Game Pass Core subscription that will be getting access to them for the first time, with both arriving on December 6th.

Here are some more details and trailers:

Chivalry 2 (December 6)

Chivalry 2 is a multiplayer first person slasher inspired by epic medieval movie battles. Players are thrust into the action of every iconic moment of the era - from clashing swords, to storms of flaming arrows, to sprawling castle sieges and more.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service (December 6)

Delivery Attempted. That's the Totally Reliable Delivery Service guarantee! T.R.D.S. is a ragdoll physics simulation about terrible package delivery couriers. Work together using odd machinery, useful gadgets, and the wonders of physics to reliably deliver packages to their destination.
