Huami’s Amazfit T-Rex smartwatch to be announced on January 8 at CES, live photos leak

Xiaomi-backed company Huami is going to hold some announcements next week at CES in Las Vegas. The company has already revealed that it is going to announce the Amazfit BipS and its TWS truly wireless earbuds. According to a new teaser that Huami posted on Chinese social media site Weibo, there’s a new rugged smartwatch coming called the Amazfit T-Rex.

The teaser translates to “New series of outdoor smartwatches meets you on January 8.” The silhouette of the teaser shows a rugged-looking smartwatch with a thick wrist strap, which really defines the type of consumer it aims to sell to. The announcement’s date coincides with CES taking place next week.

On the same note, live images of the same smartwatch were uncovered earlier this week and you can see the thickness of the band is identical to the teaser image. The watchbody has a beefy bezel with a ruggedized housing, not to mention the strap hinge looks quite heady duty and proprietary to Amazfit. There’s also large HR monitoring hardware behind the watchbody for tracking fitness and steps.

Current rumors about the T-Rex include Bluetooth 5.0 LE support, a 390 mAh battery, and it would be certified for diving up to 5 ATM. We’ll be hearing more about Huami’s new Amazfit products next week on January 8.
 
Amazfit drops new smartwatches and two pairs of true wireless buds

Amazfit just announced a plethora of new products including two pairs of wireless buds in addition to the Amazfit T-Rex rugged smartwatch and the Bip S.

Let's start with the T-Rex. The device complies to 12 of the MIL-STD-810G military standards and boasts 5ATM water resistance.

The T-Rex is built around a 1.3-inch AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by a 390 mAh battery, which according to Amazfit can go for 66 days straight in watch-only mode. In its most intensive use mode with GPS tracking it can still last you 20 hours, meaning it will go through even the most grueling day.

The smartwatch incorporates a Sony GPS chip with dual-star positioning system and am optical BioTracker PPG heart rate tracker .

The Amazfit T-Rex starts at CNY 799 ($115) and comes in Camouflage, Iwaguchi, Gun Ash, Khakhi and Army Green paint jobs.

Tenho a versão camuflada e só tenho a dizer bem. Uso-o à coisa de 3 semanas e sem nada de especial a apontar.

O mesmo vinha com alguma bateria, não me recordo ao certo quanto mas só ontem à noite é que tive de o meter a carregar pois dizia-me que estava com apenas 8%.

Não sou o tipo de pessoa que anda sempre a mexer no relógio e coisa e tal, apenas tenho as notificações mais importantes activadas (chamadas, sms, messenger, whatsapp e por ai). Tenho os "medidores" de pulsações e afins todos activados para ter uma monitorização completa e mais fiel.

Todos os dias entro na app no telemóvel para fazer o update dos dados e pouco mais mexo nisto.

Quando vou correr uso o relógio para fazer o tracking e a coisa é relativamente fiável / precisa. Depois ao ver o mapa na aplicação no telemóvel notei que em alguns percursos o "traço" passa por cima de edifícios e não na via em si. Falta de precisão ou é mesmo assim já não sei, mas também não me parece ser nada de muito "problemático".
Posso indicar que ao passar debaixo de alguns viadutos tipo de autoestrada o relógio perde o sinal mas volta a encontrá-lo muito rapidamente assim que se sai de debaixo do viaduto.
Também posso indicar que ao fazer um percurso que já tinha feito umas 3 vezes deu-me uma distância total inferior em cerca de 100/200 metros. Mais uma vez desconheço se se deve à falta de precisão ou outra coisa qualquer.

Seja como for, e sendo amante de G-Shock´s (tenho um com 20 anos e ainda dura) este é sem dúvida uma boa aposta.
 
Boas, recebi hoje o meu t-rex, mas não estou a conseguir colocar a língua em PT.
O telemóvel está em PT nas configurações.
Já experimentei o notify for Amazfit e também não resulta.
A versão que está instalada é a 1.4.0.18
Alguém tem problema idêntico?

sou novo no forúm e queria ver se alguém conseguia me ajudar.

Tenho um amazfit t-rex, e uma coisa que me incomoda nele, é a forma que ele exibe as notificações do whatsapp, por exemplo.

Vou tentar exemplificar a forma que acontece, pois eu gostaria de saber se é normal, e caso seja normal, se da pra alterar essa característica:
Quando recebo uma msg, o relógio exibe normalmente esta msg, porém quando recebo outra msg, caso eu não tenha visto a msg anterior ainda, o relógio exibe novamente a primeira msg, e apenas informa que chegou uma nova msg.

Isso é normal?

E eu por acaso consigo configurar pra ele exibir o conteúdo da msg, sempre da ultima msg recebida?
