Xiaomi Pad 6 arrives in Europe

Following its announcement in China back in April and subsequent debut in India last month, Xiaomi Pad 6 is now available in Europe. The tablet arrives in the same three colors - Gravity Gray, Gold and Mist Blue with a starting price of €399/£369 for the 6/128GB trim. The 8/128GB starts from €429 while the top-end 8/256GB version will sell for €449.

Open sales start on Monday, July 10 via Xiaomi’s online store and partnering retailers. Xiaomi UK is bundling a free pair of Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro with Pad 6 units purchased from its web store.

To recap, Xiaomi Pad 6 features an 11-inch IPC LCD with 1800 x 2880 px resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 chipset and features an 8,840 mAh battery with 33W charging support. In terms of cameras, you get a 13MP front-facing shooter and a 13MP rear module. The software front is covered by MIUI 14 on top of Android 13.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra was the centerpiece of the company’s launch event today, but the company also unveiled the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro tablets. The new slates bring updates in key areas over their predecessors including new chipsets, improved displays and a fresh new design inspired by the Xiaomi 13 series phones.

Both tablets pack 11-inch IPS LCDs with 1800 x 2880 px resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate 16:10 aspect ratio. The Pro model gets a snappier 144Hz refresh rate while the vanilla retains the 120Hz from the Pad 5 series.

Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro gets last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset while Pad 6 is equipped with the Snapdragon 870 SoC. Both tablets boot MIUI Pad 14 based on Android 13. Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro brings an 8,600 mAh battery with 67W charging while the Pad 6 packs an even larger 8,840 mAh cell but with slower 33W charging.

Pad 6 Pro gets a 50MP main cam on the back and a new 20MP front-facing sensor with auto-tracking to follow you during video calls. Pad 6 is left with a 13MP rear sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera. Both tablets come with quad speaker setups with Dolby Atmos.

Xiaomi also announced a new keyboard case and a second-generation smart pen accessory with lower input latency, longer battery life and improved wear resistance on the pen tip.

Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro come in black, blue and champagne gold colors. Xiaomi Pad 6 starts at CNY 1,999 ($291 converted) for the 6/128GB model. The 8/128GB version is CNY 2,099 ($305 converted) while the 8/256GB model is going for CNY 2,399 ($349 converted).

Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro starts at CNY 2,699 ($392 converted) for the base 8/256GB trim. It’s also available in 8/256GB (CNY 2,699) and 12/256GB (CNY 2,999) trims while the top of the line 12/512GB model is priced at CNY 3,299 ($480 converted).

Both tablets are available on pre-order in China while open sales are set to begin on April 21. International pricing and availability were not detailed.

Xiaomi Pad 6 will likely use the Snapdragon 870 chipset while the Pad 6 Pro is expected to bring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Both tablets are also expected to bring fingerprint scanners and 67W fast charging.

Esperava um ecrã OLED no Pad 6 Pro, por isso estou algo desiludido.

É pena não haverem mais tablets decentes com ecrã OLED de 11".
 
OLED 11 nem conheço nenhum, nem a Apple usa nos iPads , só me estou a lembrar na Samsung no modelo de 14”.

Para mim o factor que devia marcar diferença seria o tamanha, metiam o normal em 11 e o pro em 12 e qualquer coisa, mesmo com ips para manter o preço mais acessível.
 
Comprei o pad 5 e foi uma grande surpresa...esperava que a versão 6 Pro fosse vendido em vários países, sendo assim continuo com o 5.
 
Estes Xiaomi tablets têm tudo para ser ótimos tablets, mas desde o Xiaomi Pad 4 Plus que a Xiaomi decidiu remover MicroSD.
Ou seja, andamos com um tablet com 128GB ou 256GB, que é deveras pouco.
 
Gosto muito da xiaomi, e preciso de um tablet novo, e estava ansioso pela saída destes... mas sem leitor de cartões, ecrã oled ou leitor de impressão digital, fica de fora das opções... Lenovo p11 pro talvez seja o eleito
 
Isso iria encarecer o custo final do produto pelo que optaram por não inclui.

Quando referes leitor de cartões significa armazenamento expansível ou mesmo um leitor de cartões?

Existe adaptadores USB c para vários formatos de cartões que deverá funcionar.
 
Parece que este tablet foi agora lançado na Índia, mas cá pela Europa continuam a ouvir-se grilos desde o anúncio de Maio, nem preços nem nada.
 
O mundo dos tablets tem estado um pouco "esquecido". É preciso novidades para relançar a competição.

Estes Xiaomi tablets têm tudo para ser ótimos tablets, mas desde o Xiaomi Pad 4 Plus que a Xiaomi decidiu remover MicroSD.
Ou seja, andamos com um tablet com 128GB ou 256GB, que é deveras pouco.
Hoje em dia com as opções de Cloud storage algumas marcas ignoram o MicroSD. O mesmo se passa com o headphone jack nos smartphones que também se remove .
 
Aguardem mais um pouco que deve estar aí a rebentar.

Já foi o 13 ultra global e este pad 6 na Índia, a seguir vem pad 6 global assim como a mi band 8 global que também estou a espera.

As lojas europeias já se estão a preparar, está aí não tarda.

O meu vou ver se compro azul ou Starlight.
