Não vejo motivos para actualizar constantemente os drivers. Não tenho pegado em jogos recentes, e estes são estáveis. Só mesmo a introdução de uma funcionalidade específica para me despertar a curiosidade. Nada mais.
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition Preview Driver for AMD Fluid Motion Frames Release Notes
New Feature Highlights
- AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) Technical Preview – Boost FPS with frame generation technology for a smoother gaming experience.
- AFMF adds frame generation technology to DirectX® 11 and 12 games on AMD Radeon™ RX 7000 (and now 6000!)Series Desktop Graphics Cards.
- We are responding to the excitement from our community and are adding support for Radeon™ RX 6000 Series Desktop Graphics Cards.
- AFMF preserves image quality by dynamically disabling frame generation during fast motion.
What to know
- AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF)
- AFMF can be globally enabled for anyDirectX® 11 and 12 title using HYPR-RX or the AMD Fluid Motion Toggle.
- As AFMF may introduce additional latency in games, AFMF may not offer the optimal experience in fast-paced competitive titles. AFMF can be disabled using the per-app settings for these titles.
- AFMF can introduce additional latency in games and is recommended to be combined with AMD Radeon™ Anti-Lag/Anti-Lag+ for the optimal experience.
- The AFMF technical preview currently requires the game to be played in fullscreen mode with VSYNC disabled.
- For the optimal experience, AFMF is recommended to be used on AMD FreeSync™ displays.
- AFMF features an activity monitor similar to AMD Radeon Super Resolution to confirm the frame generation status using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition™’s in-game overlay (use the default hotkey of Alt-R for the fullscreen overlay, or Alt-Z for the sidebar overlay)
- AFMF is recommended to be enabled for games running at a minimum fps of 55 FPS for 1080p displays, and 70 FPS for 1440p or above displays
- AFMF adds frame generation technology to boost FPS outside of the game’s engine. To see the resulting FPS, use the AMD Software Performance Metrics Overlay. Support for third-party performance monitoring tools is not available at this moment.
October 13th - What’s New?
- We have added initial support for HDR to expand the AFMF gaming experience.

October 6th - What’s New?
- We are responding to the excitement from our community and are adding support for Radeon™ RX 6000 Series Desktop Graphics Cards.
- Resolved a BSOD during driver installation issue.
What’s Next?
We are continuing to monitor user reported issues, and are working towards releasing fixes.
Fixed Issues
- Improvements to the overall smoothness and image quality when AFMF is enabled for games such as Starfield.
- Some metrics such as frame time may show inconsistent results when AFMF is enabled.
- AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition™ may fail to install on some systems.
- A BSOD may be experienced during installation on certain systems (as reported by the community)
Known Issues
Donwload
- Intermittent driver crashes have been observed while AFMF is enabled and the game's resolution is changed or a task switch happens (such as alt-tab between different windows).
- Brief corruption may be observed when switching between windows with AFMF enabled on some 144Hz or greater monitors.
- Brief stutter may be experienced after closing the Xbox Game Bar.
- FreeSync™ displays may report an erratic FPS when AFMF is enabled.
- The performance metrics overlay may intermittently fail to appear (as reported by the community).
- AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition™ may intermittently crash, resulting in AFMF becoming inactive (as reported by the community).
“We are excited to offer the AI community new support for machine learning development using PyTorch built on the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon PRO W7900 GPUs and the ROCm open software platform. This is our first RDNA 3 architecture-based implementation, and we are looking forward to partnering with the community.”, says Dan Wood, Corp. Vice President, Radeon Product Management at AMD.
Following the ROCm 5.7 release from September, the ROCm 5.7.1 is predominantly about delivering various bug fixes to users of this open-source GPU compute solution. Most notable with ROCm 5.7.1 is introducing rocblas-gemm-tune to rocBLAS as a new utility to find the best-performing GEMM kernel for each GEMM problem set. This command-line tool for finding the best performing GEMM kernel can then be used with the ROCBLAS_TENSILE_GEMM_OVERRIDE_PATH for subsequently overriding the default kernel selection.
ROCm 5.7.1 also has several bug fixes to the HIP run-time, a few fixes to the hipSOLVER, and other random fixes throughout.
“We are excited about this latest addition to our portfolio. In combination with ROCm, these high-end GPUs make AI more accessible both from a software and hardware perspective, so developers can choose the solution that best fits their needs”, says Erik Hultgren, Software Product Manager at AMD.
