Tradução assim assim:

"During meeting with Sapphire, a dynamic producer that in last the 10 months is successful to conquer a role a lot important in the market of the cards video with the own products bases to you on chip ATI, only has uncovered a product extremely interesting but, unfortunately, available in prototype shape. A card Sapphire video with 2 dissipators of heat mounts to you? Of what never it will be able to be be a matter? Simple, of a prototype of card Radeon 9800PRO MAXX, equipped therefore of two chip R350 it mounts to you on an only operating PCB and in parallel. A so-called one "dream card", in the sense that would allow unfortunately to obtain velocistiche performances from dream but of a dream draft, not being working. The Sapphire technicians have tried to make to work this card, resolving vary problems of thermal nature (2 not little chip R350 to 0.15 micron of scaldano production process) but the product is not however such from far being able to be also close to the phase of commercialization. It remains however extremely interesting to see as Sapphire has been able to develop this type of technology, this prototype moreover makes very to hope that in a near future Sapphire can be in a position to experimenting with these solutions multichip in an only card, with the next generation of chip vidoe ATI of even wraps high, before with production process to 0.13 micron (is speaking obviously about R423). Interesting to notice in the skillful part superiroe the diagnostic system with led, one Firewire door, connector video out and the traditional connector of Molex feeding to 4 pin. On the frontal panel they detach 2 connectors DVI for monitor, with to the center a connector S-video for video out. Later, with other news from Taipei on cards mothers Athlon 64 and it arranges Barebone Minium-PC."

onde estao as memorias do outro chip r350 ???

We learned that at 10 layer PCB it is simply impossible to make this card work and that this card will never come to market. We believe that even ATI was surprised with this since Sapphire used to follow what ATI does and in this case ATI never played with Radeon 9800 MAXX design.

Still we believe that Sapphire could make this card work, even it would be freakily expensive – maybe in the $1000 range. ATI would need to write the drivers.

http://www.es.com/news/2002+press+archive/1202a.asp

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, December 2, 2002—Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation (E&S®) (NASDAQ: ESCC) will demonstrate its newest PC-based image generator, simFUSION® 6000, at I/ITSEC 2002. Based on the award-winning ATI RadeonTM 9700 GPU, simFUSION 6000 delivers best-in-class performance as well as simulation features available for the first time at this price point.

Using the second-generation E&S simENGINETM graphics board, simFUSION 6000 is the first PC-IG to combine multiple ATI Radeon 9700 graphics chips on a single card. Key features include:

* Exceptional fill rates enabled by a 256-bit wide unified memory interface and integrated multi-chip supertiling
* Outstanding image quality as a result of best-in-class multisample antialiasing combined with 16x anisotropic texturing, floating-point graphics pipelines, and gamma-in/gamma-out
* Full-speed, 16-bit monochrome mode for accurate sensor simulation
* Multiple chassis solutions via dual-link DVI inputs and outputs for ultra-high-end applications

nao me parece fake...
