As our tests clearly show, AMD has caught up with the performance leader Intel. However, our tests also show in real world application, the difference between both contenders is often neglectable. It all depends on your applications. If you use your PC mainly for gaming, you can't go wrong with the new Barton. However, you will have to take into account the severely worse DVD playback performance of the latest AMD processor.
