bios corrupta portatil

bem o problema é o seguinte, estava a actualizar a bios do portatil compaq armada e500, tinha uma bios de 2000, e a mais recente era de 2002, fiz como manda no site , formatei a disquete e fiz um reiniçiação sim senhor pediu que aceita-sse a bios e fez a actualização , e deu erro a meio fiz novamente pra i umas 10x, e sempre fiz bacup da antiga na diskete e por fim já farto do erro carreguei exit -----quer desligar a corrente sim e eeeeeeeeeeee agora nada naõ inicia naõ faz nada apenas quando ligo á corrente as luzes da bateria e da corrente começão a piscar e nada .

bem descobri que dá para fazer, activar o boot block utilizando a porta paralela (da impressora) do portatil alguem tem um aparelho ou sabe como fazer isto?

andei pela net e encontrei isto sobre este portatil--I know some other laptops use a parallel port plug to activate the boot block.

depois procurei melhor e---Actually, it is done via a special parallel cable connected between target and host computers along with a recovery program which is not available to the public. Although there may be some authorized service centers who have this capability...which ones I really don't know.

When the 8051 is powered up, it executes from its internal 2 kB ROM code. It will first perform a checksum on the external Flash ROM. If this checksum fails, the 8051 transitions into “Flash Disaster Recovery” mode by flashing the power and battery LEDs and polling the parallel port for connection to an external host. This host can then program the flash with new KBC and BIOS code.
If the Flash checksum is valid, the 8051 executes from the external ROM. This external ROM should complete initialization of the 8051 and wait for the power switch to be depressed. When the switch is pressed, the 8051 turns on the system power by driving the RSMRST#_3 signal (OUT2) active to PXII4M. PXII4# in turn drives the SUSA#_3, SUSB#_3 and SUSC#_3 signals high which turns on the DC/DC converters. After about 100 ms, the DC/DC subsystem asserts PWR_GOOD_3 to the 8051, indicating that the system power is on and stable. The 8051 holds the system in reset by keeping the SYS_RESET#_3 signal active. The 8051 then sets an internal timer, places itself into idle mode, and waits for an interrupt. When the timer expires, SYS_RESET#_3 is driven inactive, the 8051 clock is stopped, and the ROM interface is multiplexed onto the system bus.

nunca faças update à bios sem fazeres um backup da anterior -_-
a resolução do teu problema... à sites de arquivo de BIOS, a compaq não é lá muito famosa com eles, pk uma vez k compras o portatil raramente reparam a BIOS para com possiveis problemas/optimizações, mas de qq maneira, dá-lhes um pulinho, eles têm as BIOS antigas/originais e as mais recentes de cada modelo, tens é de procurar k eu já n uso isso à anos.
se alguém aki no forum souber esses sites poste-os aki.
