OSX Emulation on x86 achieved?

Not quite, but in the right direction. It appears that a project registered at Sourceforge is working behind emulating ***** instructions to run on x86 systems. A recent post in our forums by Elite_graphix links to the project's site, which provides download links and instructions on how to run the program.

As a few members are in the process of testing the abilities of the program, it is to be noted that the emulation's performance is not as fast, as noted from PearPC's Sourceforge website: "Due to the nature of emulation, PearPC is quite slow (the client will run about 500 times slower than the host)."

However, members have been trying various different versions of Mac OSes but none have yet been able to boot to the desktop, in contrast, one of the members experimenting with the PPC version of Mandrake Linux reports that it seems to run quite well.

An excerpt from the site: "PearPC is an architecture independent ***** platform emulator capable of running most ***** operating systems.

This is the first official release of PearPC. Please note that this is an experimental program not meant for productive use. There are still unimplemented instructions, mysterious bugs and missing features. Don't use it on important data, it WILL destroy them sooner or later! However if you are brave enough to try it out fetch one of the builds or the source. Don't forget to read the documentation, it will save you hours of frustration! And please don't whine if it does not't work for you but fix the bugs."

This is highly experimental software!, please use caution when using it on your system

Para mim isto não tem utilidade, mas pode ser que para algum de vós tenha e queiram experimentar. :)
