Latest Plextor 20x DVD drive launched

Leading personal storage and high reliability optical drive manufacturer Plextor has launched its latest 20x DVD-ReWriter drive in two separate internal formats – the PX-820A is IDE/ATAPI and PX-820SA is SATA . The latest models offer superior quality, yet offer excellent value for money for enthusiast/professional users and those that do not require HD optical drives (-yet).

These latest DVD-RW drives from Plextor’s popular PX-800 series offer fast burning speeds of up to 20x , including up to 12x Dual-Layer burning , and incorporate multi-format (DVD+/-R & DVD-RAM) technology.

In addition to its optical ranges that include HD drives, Plextor is setting the pace in the personal storage market having recently made a number of high profile launches. Its hard disk-based models offer something for every requirement – from home users and small offices, up to SME users. Products include a Plextor MediaX portable pocket-sized PC-to-TV mediaplayer (for playing HD movies and music through your TV or hi-fi), a high capacity mediaplayer, eSATA pocket hard disk, and Plextor StorX Network Attached Storage unit for businesses requiring up to 1TB of storage.

Availability and Warranty


The PX-820A and PX-820SA will both be available from end of july 2008 from the network of Plextor dealers.

They are covered by Plextor’s Fast Warranty Service (2-year warranty in the EU, Norway and Switzerland (Collect & Return); 1 year in other countries).
