Pokkén Tournament DX is the second Pokkén Tournament game. This game brings the content from the Wii U version back in line with the Arcade one, with even more content unique to the Nintendo Switch. It includes various new battle modes and characters including Decidueye and Support Pokémon of Litten and Popplio.

There are also a variety of new modes:

  • Team Battle mode – Pick three Pokémon and battle it out to be the first to defeat all your opponent's Pokémon to win in the new Team Battle mode.
  • Group Match mode – Find similar skilled players in battle rooms for intense and fun battles online.
  • Daily Challenges – Complete a variety of different daily challenges.
  • Watch battle replays – Hone your skills by watching other players' replays and share your best matches online with the new replay feature.

Na realidade, é a The Pokemon Company quem publica este jogo, não a Nintendo (suponho que devido ao facto de o jogo ser desenvolvido por uma equipa da Namco-Bandai ao invés da Game Freak ou uma equipa interna da Nintendo), logo aponta o dedo a eles. Also, new characters and modes. Não é literalmente o mesmo jogo.
 
Tendo em conta as vendas da WiiU entendo do ponto de vista comercial estes "ports/remakes", alias pessoalmente comprei o MK8 Deluxe e já o tinha na WiiU a componente portátil leva isso, é algo a ter em consideração...!

A Sony por exemplo com a PS4 e os seus "ports/remakes" da PS3 provaram que existe mercado para este tipo de abordagem, na Switch com a sua iteração híbrida ainda mais se justifica!
 
Pokemon is making its way to Nintendo Switch later this year with Pokken Tournament DX. Along with all the content from both the Wii U and arcade versions of Pokken Tournament, the Pokemon fighting game where Pokemon in battle move in direct response to the player’s actions, Pokken Tournament DX also introduces an array of exciting new features to create the ultimate Pokken experience. Pokken Tournament DX features include:

  • Play Pokken anytime, anywhere on Nintendo Switch – Play Pokken Tournament DX in TV mode, handheld mode, or share a Joy-Con controller with another Trainer to battle one-on-one in tabletop mode anywhere!
  • A brand-new fighter – Decidueye enters the battle, alongside all previous Pokemon from the Wii U and arcade versions.
  • New Support Pokemon – Litten and Popplio make their debut to lend their support in battle.
  • Team Battle mode – Pick three Pokemon and battle it out to be the first to defeat all your opponent’s Pokémon to win in the new Team Battle mode.
  • Group Match mode – Find similar skilled players in battle rooms for intense and fun battles online.
  • Daily Challenges – Complete a variety of different daily challenges.
  • Watch battle replays – Hone your skills by watching other players’ replays and share your best matches online with the new replay feature.
  • Jump straight into battle – All characters and Support Pokemon will be available right from the start of the game.


 
Two new special codes have been announced for Pokkén Tournament DX. These codes unlock a special Training outfit. For female trainers the code is ABZMNSU8D7QN and for male players the code is 8RMGLXANVZ3R and will work in all regions

Patch Notes - 1.1.0

  • Players can now participate in online Team Battles.
  • A recording feature has been added to Free Training in Practice Mode.
  • Players can get special titles based on their ranking in Official Group Matches.
    • Official Group Matches are groups held officially for Pokkén Tournament DX. Rewards are only available for certain Official Group Matches.
  • It is now possible to change how battle records are displayed.
  • Battle records will be displayed when players enter a group.
  • Team Battles are now available in Event Mode
  • Adjustments have been made to some Pokémon and attacks.
