Survival Horror Song of Horror Coming to Playstation 4 in 2020

Episodic survival horror title Song of Horror is set to make the jump from PC to consoles next year, publisher Raiser Games has announced, bundling up all five chapters as a new 'Complete Edition'.

The game, which is about to have its third chapter release on PC later this month, tells the tale of Sebastian P. Husher, a writer who has disappeared and you, playing as one of a selection of different characters, must investigate where he's gone. You'll be fighting against an evil force known as 'The Presence" who, behind the scenes, is controlled by an AI that reacts to your decisions and moves within the game.

Some classic survival horror games are named as influences, with the obvious Silent Hill and Resident Evil mentions popping up in the press release, but also the third chapter specifically cites high school 2004 PS2 horror Obscure as as another of the inspirations for the title. This includes a mechanic where when a character dies, they die for good and you must continue as someone entirely new, but with your previous progress still retaining and having an effect on your new player's adventure.

You can check out the original PC launch trailer for the game below. Song of Horror Complete Edition is set to land on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in "Q2 2020".
