A nova funcionalidade da Wii chegou ao Velho Continente.


A partir de agora já é possível enviar-se prendas Wii para amigos que constem na lista da consola.
As prendas terão de ser compradas no Shopping Channel, com os títulos da Consola Virtual a poderem servir de prendinhas de Natal.
O funcionamento é extremamente simples. Basta entrar no canal, escolher o jogo que se quer comprar, clicar na opção Gift, perder amor a alguns pontinhos, seleccionar o destinatário e escrever uma mensagem ou Mii para acompanhar o brinde. O download do jogo ficará a cargo do presenteado.

Prendas através da Nintendo Wii

A Nintendo lançou hoje de manhã uma nova actualização de serviços para a Nintendo Wii que traz duas grandes funcionalidades. A primeira, é apenas uma actualização de software para o Photo Channel, cuja versão 1.1 acrescenta a possibilidade de personalizar os ícones do ecrã mas retira o suporte para MP3. A instalação deste não será obrigatória, pois alguns utilizadores podem preferir uma coisa em relação à outra.

Todavia, a grande novidade desta actualização é a possibilidade dos jogadores utilizarem um novo serviço para oferecerem conteúdos da Virtual Console a outros utilizadores. Estes apenas têm de escolher o jogo e carregar no botão Gift. Do outro lado, os felizardos serão conduzidos à Wii Shop para o descarregamento gratuito.

Todavia, e apesar da Nintendo não o ter revelado, aparentemente esta funcionalidade tem bloqueio de região, pelo que não será possível enviar jogos daqui para o Japão e Estados Unidos ou vice-versa. Mas receber um Ocarina of Time é sempre um presente bem interessante…

N-Europe tells you how to get around Nintendo's country restrictions when giving Virtual Console gifts to foreign European countries...
Say, for example, you live in Spain. What happens if you want to send Pokémon Snap to a friend in Portugal? Or you live in France, and you want to send F-Zero to a mate in Finland?
At the moment, Nintendo's new service to send your Wii Friends VC titles as gifts is restricted to those in the country you currently live. Bah, humbug, we say. So here's how to get around said restriction.
  • Go to the Settings option on your Wii. Select 'Country' and choose the name of the country you're sending your gift to.
  • Go to the 'WiiConnect24' section and re-accept the terms and conditions here.
  • Now connect to the Wii Shop Channel - you'll get a message saying country settings have changed, and you'll have to re-accept the terms and conditions here too.
  • And that should be it. Get sending those presents!
Please Note: While your home country is changed to something else, you will not receive any pending gifts from within your home country. We advise you check you have none pending before, and return your country to its default setting afterwards. Additionally, changing your location disables parental control restrictions, which will need to be put back on.
This fix will only work for the country locations on your Wii (if you have a PAL Wii, this means just the countries that come under the PAL region, other European countries and Australia for example). A PAL Wii does not have the ability to change its location outside of the PAL region, to the USA or Japan for example.

É verdade que normalmente vais dar a prenda a algém que conheces e com estás em contacto, que vive perto de ti, mas também há decerteza muita gente que quer enviar para pessoas noutros países, é um pouco esquesito, eu não acredito que ão tivessem pensado no assunto.
