A unica diferença entre a 2900XT e a PRO(512Bit) sera então as velocidades do core e da memoria, facilmente com OC conseguirá o desempenho de uma XT.

AMD/ATI RV670 Ships Next Month, Comes in Two Versions

AMD's new RV670 will have two versions; RV670 XT and RV670 PRO, named "Gladiator" and "Revival". Both new GPUs will power Radeon HD 2950 XT and Radeon HD 2950 PRO video cards when released. Gladiator will feature 512MB of GDDR4 memory clocked at 1.2GHz, and 825MHz clocked core. Revival will come in 256MB or 512MB GDDR3 flavors, with 750MHz core clock and 900MHz memory clock speeds. Both GPUs will be made using 55nm technology, with support for DirectX 10.1, Shader Model 4.1, PCI-E 2.0, UVD and next generation CrossFire technology. In addition, RV670 XT will be manufactured by AMD while the RV670 PRO will be produced by other manufacturers (not specified). The new GPUs will be released by the end of 2007, or in the beginning of the next year. The information HARDSPELL is reporting is not confirmed by any official source close to AMD or ATI, keep it in mind while reading.

Desenhos sao por demais evidentes para ti nao quer dizer que sejam para restantes users , alem de que na minha opiniao é mto mais interessante ver fotos Reais da grafica

I've heard from a source (not related to AMD/ATI) that I trust about AMDs plans for RV670. The RV670 GPU has a quad-channel 256-bit memory interface using high clocked GDDR4. Same amount of texture units as R600. Less streaming processors than R600. Core clock would reach from 800-900MHz. Performence wise this card is planed to perf about the same or slightly better than HD2900XT, depending on what the final core clock will be. My guess on core clock is rather 900 than 800MHz taking in acount that the cooler looks better than the one on 2600XT and 55nm.

For a new high-end card they would make a dual gpu card, with two RV670. This makes sense to me as we know that Crossfire is very well working.

I'm also thinking looking at the pictures of this card that they are design with Trifire in mind. Is anyone other than me hoping that the dark thing is Trifire for the HD2000-series...»

Some performance number in 1920x1200 (GDDR4 1GB XT downclocked to 600/1600mhz):

As a comparison, I have downclocked my 1gb XT to the 1gb pro speeds and ran a few benchies :

3D Mark 06 Defaults:

Isto é só para "tapar buracos" na gama -que aliás já existem desde que a 8800 GTS 320MB saíu e aínda não foram colmatados- e tentar também competir com a G92, até chegar a RV670 lá para Dezembro/Janeiro.
Ao mesmo tempo, serve para esvaziar um pouco os stocks de produtos que ficaram por vender ou que não atingem os clocks desejados à voltagem default.
A R600 até já nem se fabrica, está em EOL ("End Of Life").

eu pessoalmente se fosse agora comprar uma grafica de gama media , entre a 8800GTS e esta HD2900Pro (versao 512mb/512bit) ia sem duvida para a Hd2900pro ,ligeiramente mais barata e provavelmente melhor
