"We have received a multitude of calls and emails regarding availability of Xbox 360™ support for the X-Arcade™. Unfortunately, the answer on this question comes from Microsoft®, not us.
The 360™ was designed with a security function which prohibits third-party development without explicit permission from Microsoft®. Only a small handful of manufacturers have been granted such permission and we are working tirelessly to obtain such approval.
Please understand that this lack of an X-Arcade™ Adapter has nothing to do with our unwillingness to pay Microsoft® fees, licenses, royalties or rights. Rather, Microsoft® has flatly refused to grant any rights to but a few firms--firms whom were given explicit and strict guidelines on what type of products they could make.
From Teamxbox: Beside the royalty, which will restrict many small companies from making Xbox 360 peripherals, this security feature also gives Microsoft total control over which peripherals are manufactured so if for instance they don’t want mouse and keyboard adapters for the Xbox 360, they can simply decide not to allow them, even if a company wants to pay the royalty. " Teamxbox "
Many 360™ customers have complained about the lack of availability of unique and innovative controllers for certain types of games and we have been working hard to sway the company to allow our firm (and others) to meet customer demand.
It serves us no benefit to delay the release of our adapter and we are paralyzed without Microsoft's® explicit permission. Workarounds from other companies include hacking a 360 Controller, but we do not feel such a solution meets our quality and performance standards.
We sincerely apologize and are working hard to find a legal way to provide you with X-Arcade™ support on your 360™. We hope you'll be patient, but if you sign up below, we can email you upon availability."
Crap logo agora que consegui o Street Collection para a consola, o X-Arcade ainda não bule nisto, é uma pena mesmo.
