MMO Final Fantasy XIV

Não me surpreendeu nada, e achei os cenários que mostraram com poucos pormenores.
A ver vamos o que vai sair daqui....
 
O jogo está em fase alpha. Depois irá ter duas fases betas.
Os jogadores da versão ps3 só vão poder entrar na última fase beta.

Não me parece o ff sempre teve um lore brutal e muitas quests diferentes.....Isto digo eu claro, eu estou com alta hype neste jogo e agradame bastante ser muito group based
 
yah, do que estive a ver parece muito fixe, curti muito da classe "lancer", porque sempre foi a minha arma favorita mas não há muitos jogos em que se acaba por usar uma, mas aqui existe uma classe cuja arma principal será essa e isso realmente foi uma das muitas coisas que me chamou logo a atenção.

De qualquer maneira, ainda deve é faltar muito tempo até isto estar disponivel :( Tou é a ver que quando sair um dos jogos que quero, sai tudo ao mesmo tempo e depois não consigo jogar tudo <.< vida de gamer é díficil :D

A minha maior dúvida é se arranjo para o PC ou para a PS3 xD

Alpha invites!

Boas pessoal, aqueles que decidiram fazer beta sign up, por favor verifiquem os vossos mails.
Ontem recebi um mail da square a confirmar que eu tinha sido escolhido, na verdade pensei que era um troll mail e quase o apagei. Mas hoje com calma e após ler tudo e pesquisar um bocado no google chegei a conclusão que o mail era verídico!

Segundo o que encontrei existem invites a sair desde dia 28 de maio.

Along with the addition of a new realm, another round of alpha invite emails have been sent out, starting June 9.

Neste momento estou a espera de quarta feira para finalmente fazer login e começar a sacar as coisas, possivelmente não poderei partilhar conteúdos visto isto ser uma alpha, o mais provável é eu estar preso por um NDA.

(1)Log in to the FINAL FANTASY XIV Tester Site
Announcements, a play guide, client download, and other important
information related to the testing process will all be posted on the

(2)Update your user name
User names on the Tester Site are generated randomly. To change your
user name, please navigate to the "Edit Profile" page from the Tester
Site's main menu.

(3)Check the forum
The Tester Site will be home to a forum set up for the exclusive use
of testers.

The forum will primarily be for announcements regarding updated content
and test schedules, but will also be used for posting bug reports and
bulletins, opinions and recommendations concerning test items, and
general tester discussion. For further details on any of these topics,
please navigate to "Forum" > "Play Guide" > "Read Me."

(4)Download the client
The FINAL FANTASY XIV client will be distributed via download. Please
see the "Download" section of the Tester Site for more information.


Reporting Bugs
There is no need for those chosen in this round of tester selection to
submit bug reports. Instead, we ask that you focus your efforts on
providing feedback regarding the game content and balance.

Requests and Precautions
- To allow for optimal improvements to game systems and balance,
testers are asked to actively submit any opinions or feedback they may
have.
- The release of information pertaining to the Alpha Test to sources
other than the Tester Site forum is strictly prohibited. Schedules for
the public release of information will be announced at a later date.
Until then, all information should be treated as confidential.
- Announcements will continually be posted under the "Forum" section of
the Tester Site. Please be sure to check periodically for updates.
- The software used during the Alpha Test is under development, and may
differ significantly from the commercial release.
- Please be aware that there are no plans to transfer Alpha Test
character data to the official release of the game.
- Please visit the Square Enix Support Centre for any further questions

Podes sempre tentar fazer sign up para uma próxima fase aqui, http://entry.ffxiv.com/eu/index.html

Mas antes tens de criar uma account na square aqui (Nota: Caso já possuas uma account na square podes fazer sign up com ela sem teres de criar uma nova.)

Quanto mais cedo criares melhor, visto que a cada termo de uma fase de testes todas as app, são consideradas segundo o site da beta.

- Tester selection will be based solely upon the content of applications. Selected individuals will be contacted via e-mail.
* Priority will not be given to applications based on order of submission. - There will be several rounds of tester selection, with the total number of participants increasing each time. - Once selected, participants will be able to continue in their role until the end of the Beta Test phase. - Submitted applications will be considered for each round of tester selections. It is not necessary to reapply.

Eu de certa forma não estava a espera do invite, apenas fiz opt-in por descargo de consciência e pelo meu gosto das series final fantasy :)
 
Data de lançamento e preços finalmente lançados, versão PC dia 30 de Setembro e a versão PS3 só em Março de 2011.
Vai ter a mensalidade do costume, e como no FFXI temos apenas uma character slot, se quisermos mais tem de se pagar.
Versão de coleccionador trás alem do jogo, o "authenticator" da square e o bónus de entrar uma semana mais cedo no jogo (trará também alguns items de jogo como um helm que aumenta XP pelo que li).
Apenas fiquei algo desapontado pela diferença de lançamento entre versão PC e PS3 visto que pensava jogá-lo na PS3 :(

The speculation for Final Fantasy XIV's eager fanbase can finally come to an end. Square-Enix's hotly anticipated MMORPG has an official release date, and contrary to the expectations of many it's not at the absolute end of the year. The game will officially launch on the PC on September 22nd -- and September 30th. In addition to the official release announcement, Square has disclosed the bonuses for the Collector's Edition, and one of those bonuses is a full week's early access.

The Collector's Edition, which retails for $74.99 instead of the standard version's $49.99, will also include an exclusive in-game item, a security token, a travel journal with concept art, and a special cover with art by Yoshitako Amano. Both versions include 30 days of free game time, with subsequent months priced at $12.99. No word on whether the fee will increase for additional characters a la Final Fantasy XI. If you can't wait for another three months, however, you can take heart in the promise that Final Fantasy XIV's beta will start in early July. It's not quite as good as launch, but we're sure it'll ease the scant time remaining.

[Editor's Note: As an additional note, extra character slots in the game will cost $3.00 per month, much like Final Fantasy XI's $1 per month character slots. However, if you wish to have another character for inventory purposes in FFXIV, then the cost is still only $1 dollar. So, to recap, a playable character slot in FFXIV is $3.00 per month, while a non-playing "inventory use only" character is $1 dollar per month. ~Sera]

Não estava a espera que fosse tão cedo.
Essa de pagarmos por personagem nunca percebi, mas também não há problema, porque com uma personagem, podemos mudar de classe a qualquer altura.

Vou comprar a edição especial.
Boxart dessa edição está espectacular. Grande Yoshitaka Amano.
 
Viste vídeos da fase alfa ou da fase beta do jogo? É que a velocidade dos combates está mais rápida na fase beta, mas mesmo assim tem um sistema de combate mais lento comparado com muitos mmorpgs que andam por aí. É normal: Final Fantasy foi sempre conhecido por ser um rpg por turnos.
