Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro official: 64MP quad cameras, 30W charging, 90Hz displays
Today the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro went official and they bring significant upgrades over their predecessors despite coming just five months later - new chipsets, 90Hz displays and 30W fast-charging.
Realme 6
This is the first Realme smartphone with Mediatek’s gaming-oriented G90T chipset. The 12nm platform brings an octa-core CPU with two 2.05GHz Cortex A76 big cores and six 2GHz Cortex-A55 power efficient cores, Mali-G76 MC4 GPU and is coupled with either 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM.
The Realme 6 packs a 6.5” LCD, just as big as on the Realme 5, but the resolution got upgraded to FullHD+ and it now comes with 90Hz refresh rate. It has Gorilla Glass 3 on top and a punch hole for 16MP F/2.0 selfie camera with relatively large 1/3.1" sensor.
There are four snappers on the back - 64MP main one with Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor, 8MP f/2.3 ultrawide unit, 2MP dedicated macro shooter and a 2MP B&W auxiliary unit for enhancing the portrait shots.
Realme 6 in Comet Blue and Comet White
Realme 6 is coming in 64GB and 128GB UFS2.1 storage versions and both get a dedicated microSD slot alongside the dual SIM Slots.
On the inside, there is also a 4,300 mAh battery that could be charged in one hour with the 30W charger in the box.
There are three versions on offer - 4/64 GB for INR12,999 ($177), 6/128 GB costing INR14,999 ($204) and 8/128 GB priced at INR15,999 ($218).
You can pre-order the phone now with an INR3,000 deposit. Actual sales will take place on March 11 at noon Indian time at Flipkart and Realme.com.
Realme 6 Pro
Realme 6 Pro rocks the brand new Snapdragon 720G chipset. Built on an 8nm process it has a 2.3GHz octa-core Kryo 465 CPU, an Adreno 618 GPU and either 6GB or 8GB RAM.
The Realme 6 Pro sports a 6.6” LCD with 90Hz refresh rate and FullHD+ resolution, which has a pill-shaped punch hole that hosts two selfie cameras. Those include a 16MP f/2.0 Sony IMX471 module and an 8MP ultrawide snapper with 105-degree field of view.
Realme 6 Pro in Lightning Blue and Lightning Orange
The setup on the back is also impressive - the main 64MP camera is accompanied by a 12MP f/2.5 telephoto shooter, an 8MP ultrawide angle snapper, and 2MP macro lens. The Realme 6 Pro supports UIS and UIS Max Video Stabilization.
The battery of the Realme 6 Pro is the same as its vanilla sibling - 4,300mAh cell with support for 30W fast charging.
Both phones also have Realme UI with Android 10 serving as a base, and the Pro supports NavIC - India’s own satellite navigation system.
The Realme 6 Pro is on pre-order now starting from INR16,999 ($232) for the 6/64GB version. Its 6/128GB version is INR17,999 ($245), while the top 8/128 GB option is INR18,999 ($260). First sale is scheduled for March 13 on Flipkart, Realme's own store and offline retailers.
Realme 6, 6i and C3 arrive in Europe and are available for pre-order, shipping starts in April
Three new Realme phones have entered Europe - they are available for pre-order now and will begin shipping in April. Besides Realme.com, you will also be able to find the phones on Amazon.
We start with the Realme 6, which will be available from April 6 and starts at €230 for the 4/64GB version. You can have more storage, the 4/128GB phone is €270, more RAM too - the top-specced model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage is €300.
Prices vary slightly by country - Spaniards, for example, will pay only €220 for the base Realme 6. By the way, we have a hands-on review of the phone if you want to know more about it.
The Realme 6i gets a single variant - one with 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage - which costs €200. Again, you can find it for less, this time the Spanish price is €20 lower. The 6i is currently being reviewed, so expect a detailed account of its strengths and weaknesses soon.
Next up is the Realme C3 (the triple camera version). This one is €160 in some regions of Europe (with 3GB of RAM adn and 64GB storage) and €140 in Spain.
The 6i and C3 are coming a week after the Realme 6, arriving in stores on April 13.
By the way, if you are a student, you can grab a 5% discount on Realme phones thanks to StudentBeans.
Unlike Spain, Italy gets no discounts. That's still better than the UK where the Realme 6 is £220 and the 6i is £190 (the C3 isn't available on the official site yet). Russia only got the C3 for RUB 10,000, which is a steep discount compared to the euro price but the phone has less storage, 32GB.
The Realme 6 Pro is nowhere to be found on the Old Continent.
Realme 6s unveiled with 48MP main cam, 90Hz screen, Helio G90T chipset
The European market is getting spoiled for choice as the Realme 6s made a surprise appearance at the X3 SuperZoom event. It’s a slightly lower cost version of the Realme 6 that launched on the Old Continent in early April.

Realme 6i
The 6s version goes on pre-sale today and will be available from June 2. There’s only one version and it costs €200, it packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. The original Realme 6 starts at €230 with the same memory configuration. The Realme 6i was €200 when it launched a couple of months ago, but it’s not nearly as nice a phone.
So, what has changed? Not much besides the main camera on the rear – it now uses a 48MP ISOCELL GW1 sensor instead of 64MP. The other three modules, the 8MP ultrawide (119°), 2MP B&W portrait cam and 2MP macro shooter are the same. Тhat goes for the 16MP selfie cam and its punch hole too.
The rear camera supports the same modes, including Super Nightscape 2.0, Chroma Boost and others. The front camera has similar skills with both Portrait and Portrait Nightscape modes as well as the ability to capture 120fps slow-mo video.
Speaking of video, the Realme 6s can record at up to 4K resolution (unlike the 6i) and supports UIS and UIS Max video stabilization pictures (if you’re wondering about the difference, Max uses the ultra wide instead of the main cam, both UIS options go down to 1080p resolution).
The Realme 6s has a 90Hz Ultra Smooth display, a 6.5” panel with 1080p+ resolution, covered with Gorilla Glass 3. The software can automatically switch between 60Hz and 90Hz, depending on the content. This is an LCD so the fingerprint reader is mounted on the side. For comparison, the 6i has a 720p+ display.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, another major upgrade over the “i” version. With two Cortex-A76 and six A55 cores as well as a Mali-G76 MC GPU, this 12nm chip packs a lot of punch for this segment. Again, it’s paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage (UFS 2.1. There’s a dedicated microSD card slot if you need more.
The 4,300mAh battery supports 30W Flash Charge, which can load the battery from dead flat to 100% in 55 minutes. If you only have half an hour, you’ll get 70% charge. The phone can also work with 15W USB Power Delivery chargers, so you can do quick top-ups with various non-Realme chargers and power banks. Besides the USB-C port, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack and both are sealed to keep water out.
Realme 6s in Eclipse Black
The Realme 6s is up on the company’s official site, only in Eclipse Black for now (there will also be a Lunar White color). Retailer Carrefour will have units available from June 15.
