A new scenario is unveiled for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
As shown in the last trailer for the game Darkside Chronicles has several scenarios that retell pivotal moments from RE games like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Besides getting a new view on the stories of RE from an fps perspective the game will also have a brand new scenario that is sure to add a lot to the existing RE mythology as well as answering some unanswered questions.
The "
Operation Javier" scenario in Darkside Chronicles will find Leon S. Kennedy and Krauser teaming up as they investigate a t-Virus outbreak in a South American village. Surely some of you may be wondering why the hell Leon is teaming up with Krauser since the dude was killed in RE4 but Operation Javier is set in 2002 so it’s a prequel to the events of RE4 back in a time when Leon and Krauser were still on the same side.

Not much about this new scenario is known aside that Leon and Krauser will come across a girl named Manuela who is the lone survivor of her village. I expect it’ll be an RE case of more than meets the eye with Manuela who will probably end up transforming into some massive end boss monster.
The village itself looks quite similar to that of Kijuju from RE5 so I wonder if the two stories will be tied together and if players could perhaps come across any characters or enemies that we saw in RE5.
We should get some more info on Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles in two weeks when the Tokyo Game Show starts.
