It's been another week, so here we are again with more gaming word hailing from
Japan, courtesy of
Media Create. The Wii is still on top of the other consoles (gee, what's new?), selling 56,702 units compared to 49,848 units in the previous week. The DS got an even bigger boost, hitting 138,744 - 126,648 of which is care of the DSi, which sold 87,185 in the previous week.
Xbox 360 slips a little more, from 11,423, to 9,988. The PS3 also slips from its 34,978 previously, but now still holds a respectable 30,309. The
PS2, for several weeks now, has remained steady, getting a very small boost this time, from 5,628 to 5,743.
Here's last week's sales outcome in Japan:
DSi 126,648
PSP 54,782
Wii 56,702
PS3 30,309
DS Lite 12,096
Xbox 360 9,988
PS2 5,743
It's clear from these figures that
Nintendo is still the big boss of Japanese gaming. It's just the first week of December, and it'll get more and more interesting as we approach Christmas, when sales really start to pick up.
