@x_Byte_X, estás a falar desta nova versão, certo?
Tem quarentena e dá para recuperar de lá falsos positivos e adicioná-los às exclusões?
Ele elimina automaticamente ficheiros infectados sem interferência do utilizador ou oferece opção para nós decidirmos o que fazer antes da eliminação?
É possível ver quando foi a última actualização das definições do antivírus e qual a sua versão? Isto sempre foi algo que nunca gostei nas versões pagas, a informação quanto a isso é muito vaga.

De momento tenho o Kaspersky e estou muito satisfeito com ele, mas ter de encontrar novas chaves de licença frequentemente é cansativo :P
Um Bitdefender gratuito parece-me uma alternativa excelente face aos Avasts e Aviras e afins, que nos chateiam com publicidade (tenho a noção que o Bitdefender Free não tem qualquer tipo de publicidade).
 
@krazeus: tu mudas de e-mail sempre que aderes a uma nova promo? Porque ao usar um código de "trial" ficas logo impossibilitado de usar outros, pelo que percebi, a não ser que mudes o endereço de e-mail. Consegui uma vez (a primeira vez que usei o Bitdefender) uma promoção de 180 dias e, quando acabou, nunca mais consegui usar qualquer outra promoção. Já desisti da versão paga do Bitdefender à custa disso, mas em breve irei andar uns tempos com a nova versão gratuita, que consta ser boa, pelo que li por aí.

Eu continuo muito satisfeito com a versão gratuita. Bastante leve, está lá sempre a vigiar o que se passa no PC, não incomoda minimamente (até nos esquecemos que temos aquilo instalado), não tem anúncios nem pop-ups chatos, só avisa (e impede) quando alguma virose tenta fazer uma gracinha e é um programita que não está carregado de funcionalidades desnecessárias.

Em todo o caso, para quem quer o Bitdefender Internet Security 2017 sem pagar nada durante um ano, é só seguir as instrucções aqui:

EDIT: Oops! Pelo que pude confirmar, a promoção já não está activa. Ou isso ou a VPN que uso (ZenMate) não está a funcionar bem. Alguém que confirme isto com outra VPN, ou de outra forma a manter um IP alemão quando aceder ao site, por favor, porque 1 ano gratuito vale bem a pena!

Eu instalei o cyber Ghost para tentar mas não percebo alemão e não recebi mail com a promoção

@kinky @krazeus não sei é se as licenças do trial ainda funcionam, de qualquer maneira vejam se melhorou algo...
 
@x_Byte_X: eu aderi à versão beta, apesar de nunca a ter chegado a testar. Penso que foi isso que ainda me deu uns 50 dias de Bitdefender Total Security 2018. Hoje mesmo desinstalei a versão free e instalei o TS 2018. O PC ficou um bocadinho mais lento e barulhento... Realmente, depois de tanto tempo habituado a uma versão free simples e leve, qualquer outra coisa parece pesada e desnecessária. Sou capaz de desinstalar isto e voltar para a versão free.

Outro pormenor irritante: o Bitdefender Total Security 2018 não me desliga o Windows Defender e sou obrigado a ter dois anti-vírus activos. Está visto que querem mesmo que eu regresse à versão gratuita...
