Ok here is what you do. You need Windows Media Player 11.
1. Open WMP 11 on your PC
2. On the top select "Library"
3. Under Library select "Media Sharing"
4. Mark the checkbox that says "Share my media", do not close this window yet.
5. On the PS3 under video, photos or music (doesn't matter which one for this step), select "scan for media server"
6. The PS3 sould now pop up in the the open window in WMP 11 as an "unknown device".
7. Select the "unknown device" then press "allow".
8. close the winow, let the PS3 finish scanning, then it should be good to go.
Skybastos, tira-me uma dúvida.
Here's a test for people to see whether or not their display supports the new full range option or not.
First, save this image, and put it on a memory card or something so that you can view it on the PS3:http://sr-388.netimages/patterns/Brightness.jpg
With the option set to limited, adjust the brightness control on your TV until you can see most/all of the boxes. There are 12 boxes there, but you might not be able to see them all. You should hopefully be able to see at least 9/10 of them.
Now switch it over to Full range. Can you still see all the boxes? It's very likely that you will only see a full black screen now if you're using a HDTV rather than a DVI monitor.
If you can turn up the brightness control and see the same number of boxes again, then it seems your display does support the full range. If it stays black, or you can't see as many boxes as before, your TV does not support the full range option and you should be using limited.
Most HDTVs should have it set to limited.
Howdy andrew me mad mackem, i have tried your pic and i lose the last two off the darkest scale when i flick to full, a quick flick to limited turns the black a more erm brownish black colour, so should i adjust my brightness and use full do you think.
If you can get those boxes you lost back when you turn the brightness up, it'd be ok on full, otherwise I'd use limited and turn down the brightness control as low as it can go before more boxes start to disappear.
Consegui ver as fotos e alguns filmes.
ICE
Bare in mind it has to be the specific MediaServer.exe file you have to grant total access to, not the "TVersity Media Server" program thats shows up in the Exception list. You have to go through the C:\Program Files\TVersity etc... to find it.
A friend of mine just solved his "my PS3 cant see shit" problem by doing this.
